I loved that game. Finished it on an emulator, but my brothers used to finish it on an actual arcade cabinet (I was too young at that time). Its difficulty is surprisingly balanced, it's not that hard for an arcade.

Sadly the SNES port, like Captain Commando, and Knights of the Round is slower in pacing, though CC is not so great on SNES due to not only it's pacing, but it's drab colors. But KoD and KotR are still all around fun, shame I didn't get KotR while it was still affordable all those years ago, I kick myself for that now.
Sebastian Brinkmann Someone made a fan-sequel that extends the number of classes, adds 4 guest characters, special moves, and a more free-form level system! I don't like the guy who made that one, but the game itself is incredibly impressive.
Anyone else recognize the dragon's sound effect later used on Fei Long's stage in SSF2T? they also used a lot of the sounds from this in Knights of the Round as well.

I look back at the way japanese made games used to have the weight of buff characters across so many games, it makes me laugh. Clearly before the 2010s, people in the east had no idea how much people in the west could weigh. Still a great game from me childhood though :P

It was done by pulling the joystick in the opposite direction (left/right) at the exact time of the hit. It makes the game somewhat more difficult, but at the same time more enjoyable for experienced players 👍🏻 I used to go close on purpose and wait for the monsters to swing just so that I could block the attack 🥳

I played the SNES version of this game many years ago. It is still one of my favorite co-op games.
Very impressive run. One credit, no lives lost (you started with two lives, and ended up with six). I take off my hat for you :)

Obviously those spiders in stage 7 were just elite enemies with a Health Link buff.

F THE F YAH!!! USed to love this ! Final Fight and Knights of the round too. Soo good.
The wizard is the best, if you're skilled enough. He starts a bit weak, but is the strongest attack in the end.

Having no manual shield option in the arcade version was a big problem. The Snes version would let you assign a button for manual shield.
