For me personally I haven't talked myself out of getting any decks tomorrow I'm on the verge of ordering 18 more card decks I'm still waiting on 7 previous ordered decks I have a grant total of 126 so far and counting
I'm having "a hard time" with Animal Kin Oracle. I was tempted to buy it, but decided not to, yet it keeps lingering in my mind... It didn't help one bit that you talked about it in this video 😂.
The Practical Magic Oracle Deck! Ooooo I want it SO bad!! But….I had to cut myself off to save $$ for Christmas gifts. Maybe I’ll pick it up next year if they have another run. (But then maybe I’ll decide on the Boo Tarot which looks amazing! 😍)
The Pasta tarot, the concept is so lovely but I just not that into pasta lol. The Corrupted Tarot kickstarter, beautiful art but I already had a collab-style deck, and I am not truly connecting with the preview art (even tho they are aesthetically pleasing) and the price/shipping is out of my budget. I'm still on the fence about the Next Generation tarot kickstarter tho. I love its style but once again, budget is tight and I have to ask myself if I need it or not.
The new category of decks that didn't work out is something I've been looking for particularly so I'm thrilled to hear you're incorporating that here! The ratio first impressions/seasoned experience in tarottube is kind of unbalanced and it's much appreciated to hear about things that didn't end up working out. I got the Green Witch Oracle and I enjoy it immensely, but I can see how it might not be necessary for those who already have more plant-based decks. The biggest point in its favor for me is that it incorporates fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers that are common enough for me to find where I live, or that I can plant where I live, whereas a lot of English-written decks use plants from North America that I can't get access to easily or just don't grow naturally here in South America.
Love the anti hauls, there's too many deck reviews gushing about every single deck, tempting us to buy. It's refreshing to have real reviews and down sizing collections
This was such fun! I love how chatty you are when you're up too late 😂. So it's a "Yes" for more late night recording sessions from me. Love the new category because it is nice to hear about what isn't/hasn't worked for you, too. This was truly delightful 😊
Fabulous new category, and very much enjoyed this video... Especially your little dainty little squeaky sneezes 🤧 so cute! When I sneeze it roars from me 🤣🤣🤣 no control over it at all xxx
I loved the long rambliness and getting to see even more of how you interact with your decks! This series always sparks extra inspiration for me to work more with the decks I have and to play with what niche each of them fills for me! Thank you Lisa!
Just me sitting here looking at your tarot bags in the background... looking at the bags I received in the mail today (third time ordering)... looking at both last names Papez going "waaaait a minute" (I should say this is the first video of yours that I've watched! What a coincidence)
OMG Peggy and I are sitting here eating dinner and I just had to stop everything we were doing so I could read this comment aloud to her and we both thought this was just the coolest thing :D Thanks for stopping by my channel!!! :) And we're both thrilled you love your bags!! :D
❤️I love your videos! I just released 3 decks that I haven’t used in sooooo long and now wondered why I ever loved them to begin with! Your videos have helped me see Tarot in such a new light and reignited my love for working with it! ❤️
Vampire decks my favorites 👀 🖤 🌹 I will get that one for sure 🤭 I'm kind of crazy that even they're all vampires theme they look different to me and I still want them all 👀 . The OOP you have 🖤 lucky 🍀 you!
I was going to buy the first edition Messenger Oracle but have decided to get the new edition instead . I want the Seasons of the Witch Samhain Oracle too . Omg I love the purgatory drawer idea . I just found you , watched your comparison of the Messenger Oracle . I really enjoy you talking . Your adorable , can’t wait to see more .
Good morning, Lisa! I rediscovered tarot after many years and the variety of decks was so exciting to me. One of the first I fell in love with was the Solara Occulto. It was already OOP, and I saw it on ebay for $500, and I would never pay that price. Anyway, I thought I might encounter it again or maybe the creator would reissue it one day. So, 30 decks later I find I have small collection that I really enjoy. It's a real treasure. I recently saw a kickstarter deck on Katey Flowers channel - Zeke's Arcana. It's like nothing I have in my collection - I really like it. But I'm not going to back it. Now days I really, carefully consider a new deck. I can do that because my collection is so satisfying for me. I'll look at Zeke's Arcana many times more. If it really continues to intrigue me, I might try to get one. If it's no longer available - oh well! That's a very comfortable place for me. Anyway, enough rambling. Have a great day and thanks!
I love love love the green witch tarot deck it's gorgeous and I love the backs and the druid craft deck is one of the ones I order tomorrow I want the animal deck that has the farm animals on it
Love the Animal Kin Oracle too!!! So glad you like it. I was never a fan of The Green Witch Tarot... I couldn't stand the backs LOL Love your eye make-up. Very pretty! I'm also glad you are talking about the traps set by discounts and sales leading to overbuying. I have worked to reign that in. I love how culling and curating our deck collection is also a process of learning about self. It's part of learning about boundaries (i.e., where to draw the line) and what speaks to "WHO WE ARE". Major only decks feel lazy and incomplete to me. I love that emotional baggage patch!!!
Loved this! Great idea to combine the decks you are re-homing into this series, and it's really fun to see you revisit the decks that tempted you in your "Hot Takes" series, but after giving each deck much more thought. I LOVE the Forest of Enchantment, and agree about it being a storybook world that is so appealing to visit often. Plant Spirit is on my list for a go-to plant oracle (I'm a sucker for all the rainbow and color). I think I would be much more tempted by Illustrated Bestiary and Illustrated Crystal as my go-to animal and crystal oracles, but only 36 cards each just doesn't seem like enough variety. (Maybe I'm too focused on that though; I just ordered Enchanted Bruja as my go-to Samhain oracle, and it's only 30 cards, but I love them!)
Awww 🥰….Lisa! I think you’re lovely! As I’m watching this video, I’m totally clicking on the links as the decks pop up, so it’s going to take me awhile to get through this video 😆. I totally agree with your thoughts on mass market decks and how the fact that they are reasonably priced and easily accessible makes them a super easy impulse buy. A good rule of thumb would be “would I pay indie/Kickstarter prices for this deck?”. It would at least cause one to pause and would help in ensuring that one would end up with more decks they absolutely love and fewer ho-hum decks. I have pre-ordered the Cirque du Tarot from Llewelyn and I’m really excited about it, but seeing your photos in your videos with the photos of the Tarot de Luz that I have, I’m struck by the very similar color palette! Now I’m curious to see if one will cancel the other out in my collection! Oh…I love late night Lisa!
I own (& love) The Vampire Tarot but I can't use it! The sellers note said "great condition all 78 cards"... Ya well, I got an extra Star card but no Tower, an extra 2 of Knives & no Ace, & an extra 6 of Holy Waters & no 5 of Holy Waters... Ya 🤥
You are a DELIGHT past your bedtime! More, please! 😄💕 Also, can't describe how giddy I was to see a new anti-haul! These are what led me to your channel in the first place. ✨
Please do more videos late at night with a caffeinated drink 😂 Loved the chattiness, it's fab to watch. Seriously this is my favourite channel on TH-cam.
I agree with you lisa,Lisa, why I wait to Back a deck and give it time ,my jamie sawyer decks are special to me and I def agree with you on out of print decks I tend to not spend over a certain amt on decks minus a few special to me ones on etsy I'm and earth sign lol
Hey Lisa! Love from australia! I adore your channel and freaking LOVE these anti hauls. It’s so easy to end up with decks that you just aren’t using or connecting with. I was wondering if you have a particular process you go through with a deck before ultimately placing it into purgatory or re-homing it? I know you will work with a tarot deck and a complimentary oracle deck from week to week - but when you are feeling your aren’t connecting, what is your process to making the decision - are there particular spreads or activities you like to go through prior? Or is just a feel thing? Thanks so much for your awesome content!! 💖
Hiiiiii! It's kind of a case by case thing. With some decks, I'll spend time working with them a bit to be sure. With others I might dedicate a longer term study and a longer period of time working with it. Some, I find out within days of trying to work with it that it's not a good fit. I don't tend to do specific spreads or activities... but typically my rule of thumb is that I need to want to work with it for me OR for clients (and ideally both, but sometimes I have decks that only do one or the other). :D
Ah I've been somewhat considering also rehoming the Dreamscape Oracle - and the matching Tarot. But not for the reasons you listed! I love art nouveau as a style and I've loved and adored looking at these cards for a couple of years now, but I've heard some.... really unsavory things about the maker and it really paints how I interact with them... That and it really feels like Dreamscape tried to be both a person/archetype deck and also an animal one and there's not enough of a bridge for me between these two concepts. I also really dislike how the guidebook has no real sense of order. But these decks are.... absolutely stunning. So gorgeous. I dunno I might end up keeping them, but... I want to rehome my Star Spinner Tarot, too. I loved the art, got the deck.... and the moment I started touching and playing with them, it was an automatic no. Which is such a shame because it looks so pretty and I love its simplicity!! A deck I managed to talk myself away from (for now) is the Marigold Tarot. Love the art, love the aesthetic of it, but it,,,, I feel like there's a specific sort of work it'd be good for or a specific deity it could be used for, and to both of these things I am not a participant. Which is okay!
I'm getting the tarot v I'm obsessed with vampires as well LESTAT FROM QUEEN OF THE DAMNED IS THE ONE AND ONLY n I'm not to fond of zombies either but definitely find fall in love with the zombie tarot n have ordered it a couple of hours
78 Tarot Ecological is one that I really went back and forth on for a while. There are some amazing cards in that deck. There are also some other cards that just don’t do it for me. Ultimately, I realized that there was one card in particular that called to me. So, I did a search on the artist and was able to get a beautiful print. Now that I have the print, I don’t feel the need for the deck. On the other side (well, sort of), I have been considering Monstarot for a while. Your video actually helped me decide between that one and Whispering Spirits. I ended up choosing the latter (this was around 9-12 months ago I think). Anyway, I love Whispering Spirits and kept telling myself I didn’t need Monstarot too. Until I decided that I did. And then it was gone. So, I tried to console myself with the upcoming Cosmobeings (I will definitely be backing that one). But then, Joanna released the mini Monstarot.... So anyway, I just got it today and I am totally in love already. The size is perfect for the deck too! So yeah, so much for not getting that one, but I am so glad I caved. I am starting to get that feeling about not wanting a deck you like because it would take away your time from a similar deck you already love. I have so many decks at this point (I will need to do some purging soon), it has become a challenge to spend the time I want with the deck that I want because I have about 50 favorites. Maybe I will have to channel my inner Peggy and just half the size of my collection. LOL
Hi Lisa! I recently watched another you tuber's "25 mass market decks coming out" video and I didn't like any of the decks. I had a couple of mass market decks on pre-order, but cancelled them. So many themes I guess I either have something like it already or I'm just not interested. I do have 15 Kickstarter decks that I'm waiting for. Kickstarter seems to be where I spend most of my money now. My most recent mass market buys are the Pinter deck and the Surrealist deck. Really enjoying them.
I *knew* it was gonna be the Robert M. Place deck. I have stared at this deck since I got the Temperance card in a mixy batch on eBay months ago and I have looked high and low for one with a price in my budget and they're all stupidly expensive (for my budget). I sincerely hope they do another print run or a second edition or something, anything, to get the decks to mass market level pricing.
Funnily enough I'm not drawn to the cirque De tarot but I have ordered divine circus Oracle Deck by Alana Fairchild now that is a gorgeous artwork deck but I love so many of her decks I have alot of them
And now the creator is redrawing the Idiosyncradeck! I’m so excited, though I think it may be a long process. And it’s definitely different artwork than the original. But she’s said on her IG that it’s how she wanted the deck to look when it first came out, she just couldn’t create it then.
The fragrance Oracle Deck creator Julie Nelson is a friend and the only Kickstarter deck I'm supporting big time she reached her target with 20 days still to go she was and still is very communicative about constant progress with the deck I love the deck
@@Lisa_Papez oh how lovely are you. Yes my day improved thanks to your video. Love your passion and energy that is always at the core of the videos you make. Always raise a smile
I totally feel your struggle with the Cirque du Tarot. It is so so so pretty! I love the colors, the artstyle. Plus I'm a fan of Llewellyn Decks. I like to shuffle them, I love the full color guidebooks. But I'm not into circus at all. When I want something "sureal" and a different world, I use my Alice in Wonderland Tarot. Or like you said, I want to enter something more nature, I love my Forest of Enchantment.
I think I understand your reasoning against the Cirque du tarot. It's got good worldbuilding, sure, but we, as readers, are spectators of that particular world, not inhabitants, as we could be in other decks. Also i'm not buying the Tarot V because it looks almost identical to the Tarot Z--same artist and concept, I know, but I came close to that preorder button. 👀 Thanks for the video! 😊
I bought Tarot de Luz a couple weeks ago on a whim not thinking too much about it, but let me tell you... When I did a walkthrough for myself, just really diving deep into the artwork and noticing all the details, I liked it a lot more than I ever expected to enjoy working with it! There's something special. The art is super cute and different, seems really simple, but has some hidden gems waiting to be explored... 💗
I love love love what you had to say about your OOP insanity segment. At the end of the day, there will be those unicorn decks that I will never get the chance to own. And you know what? That's okay. If it's not meant to be, then there are so many other decks I have and love or that I'm bound to discover. 💜
Do I get a top of the class sticker from Peggy for you not buying the Iris because of the reclaim and me not buying the reclaim because of the Iris? That’s two decks not brought for one chat! 😂❤️ loved this so much. That rosebud tarot 🥰
I’m pretty you said shuffle tarot sent you the Ganeshian Tarot. I love the look of it and love my Ganesh Oracle, but with shipping the current version would be over $80. Do you think it would be in your collection as an $80 deck? I know this is a subjective question, but I just keep coming back to it and wonder if I need to just bite the bullet and get it or just forget about it.
Hmm. That's an excellent (and fair) question! I think if I had to spend $80 for it (and with CAD exchange it'd likely be over $100), I don't think I'd have purchased it. It ships from overseas and the shipping is high. :( But keep in mind that RWS clones (or decks that have different characters in the same sort of RWS setting/positions) are not necessarily something I usually get excited about, to begin with...
@@Lisa_Papez thank you so much for replying to this. It does make me feel better having to pass on it. Some day hopefully something ganeshian and tarot will pop up in a “normal” price range and my Ganesh Oracle will find its long awaited soulmate ❤️
I absolutely adore The Tiny Smith 🥰 Fantastic video and yes, I have to restrain myself from buying. I did go quite a bit crazy last year and can now say I am a collector if you go on the quantity I have *sigh* but so far I've only rehomed 1 deck so I've gotten pretty lucky on getting on with the decks I've bought, backed, or been gifted. Oh and don't know if you saw, Jessica Bott is working on a new tarot deck that is pretty much her re-doing the Idiosyncradeck. Its tentatively being named The Jessica Tarot which I chuckled with her about. 😅
I'm pretty sure your review of the Dreamscape Oracle was how I first found you because I've been pining for that deck since it was first announced. It's still a bit too much for my budget, but I'm keeping an eye on it just in case the price goes down anytime soon. Anyway, on an unrelated note, I'm watching this while doing my makeup which is also orangy-gold today.
i am hoping it goes mass market in a way. i have it but the card stock is paper thin and it feels like there is no coating to the card stock. I love it but because i feel like im going to bend it or damage it if i use it, i barely use it. I was a little suprised that the card stock was as bad as it is considering how much i paid for it.
Hi Lisa! New to your channel and to tarot, been silently watching some of your past videos. As a beginner, I don't have many decks (as a matter of fact, only one with another coming with the new year!), but I definitely have... impulses of buying many, MANY more, as of late... So I need this Anti-haul type of energy in my life, right now! You know, to keep the wallet in check. I haven't reached that point in the video yet but I saw some comments mention the Tarot V deck makes an appearance and I have my eyes on that one: if only I could get a better look at the cards, I'd be able to finally make a decision! I like vampires but I'm very picky on the type of vibe I want (a diverse mix of urban, gothic, historical, elegant all in one, different forms of vampires, very Vampire: The Masquerade if that rings any bell...): I've searched for available alternatives but vampire decks seem to have this strange trend of going OOP really fast. The Lo Scarabeo vampire deck has that urban vibe that really does it for me, but I don't like the card layout... Plus, a legit copy is pretty rare... The Gothic Tarot by Joseph Vargo is STUNNING but it's only up for amounts of money I'm not really comfortable with spending right now (international shipping hits HARD). I need to either let go of my vampire tarot dreams entirely or get a look at the Tarot V cards already and see if it does something for me... Flipthroughs, please come soon!🙏
Loved the new category and OOP insanity section. I really enjoyed that you’re talking about how it’s okay not to pay the insane price. I tend towards the same sort of thought process, that spending a huge amount of money isn’t necessary. The most I’ve spent is $100, for the 96 Mythic Tarot. But I’ve not really been tempted generally to spend a lot. But I also love how respectful you were to people who might make either choice. ❤️
The two that come to mind are the 1909 Restoration RWS and the new Lilifer Tarot that is about to launch on Kickstarter. I already have the Centennial Smith Waite that I am bonded with and know I will never reach for the 1909. I really love the art in the Lilifer Tarot, but I already have the Apparition Tarot that is really similar. In terms of out of print decks, I have been so tempted to drop hundreds of dollars on the Bohemian Gothic. But Baba Studios is probably going to be reprinting next year!! And if they don't, that's ok! I bet there are going to be decks coming out that are similar or decks already out that are similar as well.
Don't worry, Baba Studios is totally going to reprint the Bohemian Gothic! If not next year then 2023! They have an update page where they list their planned reprints and Bohemian Gothic, Alice, Baroque Bohemian Cats are all on that list :D
I'm definitely guilty of having bought decks because they were cheap - you live and learn! Regarding crazy deck prices, I have a fuzzy yet definite limit - basically if it costs more than my favourite high-end fountain pens (Pilot Decimo, Sailor 1911), it's too much. I just bought a 1st edition Darkness of Light on Etsy for less than my limit (even with express shipping), and I'm OK with that because I've been anti-hauling similar decks while I waited for a copy of DoL to cross my radar. The same seller has a copy of the Healing Waves for nearly three times the price of the DoL, which was way beyond what I'm willing to pay. I backed Wisdom of the Depths instead - if Healing Waves comes out mass market I will definitely take a look, but otherwise I'm good for now 😀
I die not back the healing waves tarot because I did not like it that much and now I wish I did 😭 Sometimes I have to get used on a deck, it’s not always instant love.
Price doesn’t stop me from buying -- buuuut, art is what gets me every time. It’s a subjective thing, of course, all decks are fantastic but if the art is of particular appeal, I am very tempted, and will find a way to justify the cost. By the same process, though, even one or two cards, if the art doesn’t work for me, it’s a deal breaker. 🎃 👻
I love your anti-hauls! And I like adding the category for the decks already in your collection. I'm still leaning yes for the Cirque de Tarot, but I'm not pre-ordering it. I need full walkthroughs before I can confirm I want it. Also I wasn't tempted by Tarot V at all until you mentioned it again here, and suddenly I was like "oh? Maybe I do want this deck?" That is 100% because I just watched Midnight Mass though, so I'm sticking with my original no there. I can't buy decks just because they remind me of a show I watched one time! lol
Yas!! But seasonality and mood can definitely affect how much we want something - even a thing we previously talked ourselves out of!! So I totally get how that could happen with the Tarot V! :)
Also, this month I talked myself out of the Forager's Daughter Tarot, currently on Kickstarter (my reasoning being, "it's SO pretty, but it feels distant, and does it speak to my soul?") and talked myself out of Rainbow Heart Tarot (my reasoning being, "I really want a retro, bold, diversity-friendly RWS in my collection, but would I want to read for myself with it often?"). Also talked myself out of Monstarot (I know!) because travel size was still pretty pricey, and it's adorable, but is it me? I may still pick these up eventually, but for now, I went with Tarot Renard, which feels much more likely to be in "soul deck" territory for me.
Girl, I so feel you about oop decks. I so wish I could find Magestic Earth at an affordable price. It’s beautiful but $300 is insane! Passing on it for now not only saves money but gives me more time with my other beautiful decks that I am so grateful to have!
In case you’re interested, I signed up for email updates re Magestic Earth on their website and they put up a few factory seconds for sale about 1-2 months ago. I was able to get a “seconds” edition for a discounted price (around $45) but they go fast! I don’t know why they do this but that was the second time I’ve seen these sales. I missed out the first time. When I received my edition, it looked perfect to me so I don’t know what made it a “factory second”🤷♀️It’s a beautiful deck! Good luck!
This vid gave me all kinds of giggles. I’m in the same headspace about that Tarot V. I love vampires. But for me I’m also a big chicken and I’m sure that deck will scare me. I do wish they would hurry up and release it though. Im dying for the walkthroughs just so I can be nosey. I have a feeling in my gut that that healing waves is going mass market. It is so stunning and soft and there is a penguin and I wuv penguins. I’ve just backed my very first ever crowd funding project last week. After all these years this one finally got me🤣. Zero regrets.
I wanted to love the reclaim so much but... it left me totally meh :-( I'd love to hear more about how you work with it - I tried asking it questions and got really weird negative answers out of it so there must be some other way...
I ask it questions about my emotions, about what I most need to look at within myself right now, about where I might have some unresolved feelings (positive or negative) or what i most need to be mindful of today ... that sort of thing! :)
This may not be you. But I know why I am drawn to Ciro's sepia deck. I love his artwork and also have the Legacy of the Divine as my one Ciro. But for me some of the colors etc in his decks are overwhelming for me. The Sepia version would give me his art in a less invasive (probably not the right word) way. For now I have also talked myself out of it. But it may change
The Dreamscape is a beautiful deck but i HATE the card stock so i dont use it as much as i want to I am buying the reclaim oracle because of you :) The Mystic Pallet Tarot is tempting me SO much too. Im trying to not buy anything but i broke and bought the Zombie Tarot so i already ruined that LOL
I keep trying to link the Reclaim deck but TH-cam won't let me, boooo. Anyhow, I have both Reclaim and Iris and find that they fill different needs in my collection and do not compete imo. Reclaim is specifically for shadow work, whereas Iris can be used for daily draws, standard oracle readings, and shadow work.
I enjoyed this but not as much as previous anti-hauls because you covered quite a few here that you already did on your recent Hot Takes. It felt a bit repetitive for me.
I have the green witch deck it's absolutely amazing I have preordered the macabre tarot it draw me in big time and when it comes to botanical, herb etc card decks ECLECTIC GREEN HOUSE KITCHEN WITCH HERE
OK Lisa , so liked this one (as with ALL your Anti-hauls). I liked the ending talk about "Fear of Missing out" and regret--because the deck might come out on mass market. I've been licking my wounds over the Bonestone and Earthflesh Tarot Deck. There are whispers it might be coming out on mass-market. We'll see.
Please let it be so. That is my 'I wish' deck (along with the Tarot of Jane Austen, which is more of a curiosity), but the original pre-orders happened when I was not pursuing indie decks, much less preordering them, and by the time I heard about it, it was sold out. (On the other hand, I got the Monstarot (in the second edition) and the Japaridze (Mass Market) after years of staring at them wistfully and bidding only to watch them go for 2-3x my limit, so I haven't done badly.
I am concerned because my Healing Waves Tarot has not arrived yet. It was shipped and it looks like it may have made it to US, but I am not sure, and the estimate for delivery has already passed, I am going to be so upset if it doesn't arrive. I have not been successful in contacting them at all. Very upsetting.
I've had the best luck reaching them through their Facebook page! If you haven't tried that - it could be worth a try!!! Here's the link: facebook.com/The-healing-waves-tarot-105929858222552/
the herbiary and the beastiary are both in deluxe format. I suspect the crystallary is also coming out in deluxe as the other two have done well AND the beastiary only came out in march this year, the herbiary march the year before, so i suspect march 2022 will be the crystallary deluxe box set. for anyone who wants to know
Thank you so much for sharing this! :) Yesss the deluxe sets are one thing - the ones I'm referring to in this video are stand-alone decks! :D They're coming out as individual boxed decks separate from larger books! :D :D
I have the herbiary in the collectible box set and even though I looove the box itself, I actually dislike the card stock in that way more than the flimsy paper cards that come with the basic book set. It's that bad quality gold edging that sticks the cards together and makes them hard to shuffle, so I don't really like to use them - whereas the small paper cards are nice and easy, and I don't actually really mind them, the book is why I bought them in the first place. That's also why I don't feel the need to buy these new cards only decks of them, BUT I'm still curious whether the cards in those are significantly better than in the deluxe set or not, because if not, it's not really worth the money.
I saw this saying on a tee and immediately thought of you. Since you referenced your unicorn notecard today, I thought it would be a good time to share: "Always be yourself... unless you can be a unicorn. Then be a unicorn!" This video was the perfect relaxation with a cup of English Breakfast tea. Thank you, dear one!
I adore the new category of decks you're not keeping! 💖 This is the PERFECT place to do this category. I am definitely interested in which decks you ultimately decide not to keep. 😊
What are some decks that you've talked yourself out of recently, despite being tempted??

Thrilled about the new category! Always wanted an update on how a deck worked out in practice, beyond the first impressions.
YES! I've been trying to find a way to work that into my regular content and so pleased with how well it fit with my Anti-Haul!

19:26 totally relate! I try to remember “it’s only a good deal if you love it” but I don’t always listen to myself 😂
Exactly!!!!!
This was such fun! I love how chatty you are when you're up too late 😂. So it's a "Yes" for more late night recording sessions from me. Love the new category because it is nice to hear about what isn't/hasn't worked for you, too. This was truly delightful 😊
I had a lot of fun!! LOL
So did we
Fabulous new category, and very much enjoyed this video... Especially your little dainty little squeaky sneezes 🤧 so cute! When I sneeze it roars from me 🤣🤣🤣 no control over it at all xxx
Really enjoyed your comments at the end! And enjoying the updated format for these videos!
I loved the long rambliness and getting to see even more of how you interact with your decks! This series always sparks extra inspiration for me to work more with the decks I have and to play with what niche each of them fills for me! Thank you Lisa!
Glad you enjoy it!
Just me sitting here looking at your tarot bags in the background... looking at the bags I received in the mail today (third time ordering)... looking at both last names Papez going "waaaait a minute"
(I should say this is the first video of yours that I've watched!
😂😂🤣🤣😂😂 Ok this is awesome! So glad you like your bags.
@@ppapez they're my absolute favourite! I will never buy anywhere else.
😂 Exactly the „I‘m just gonna buy it“ part happened ich to me when watching @oldsoulmermaid‘s video today 😭(😂)
Love the shoutout for Old Soul Mermaid!! Bonnie is a gem
You are personifying a grove of beautiful autumnal trees today. 💛🧡🤎💛
Wow, thank you!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
❤️I love your videos! I just released 3 decks that I haven’t used in sooooo long and now wondered why I ever loved them to begin with! Your videos have helped me see Tarot in such a new light and reignited my love for working with it! ❤️
When you realized that YOLO meant you only live once made me laugh so hard!! These are by far my favs!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Vampire decks my favorites 👀 🖤 🌹 I will get that one for sure 🤭 I'm kind of crazy that even they're all vampires theme they look different to me and I still want them all 👀 . The OOP you have 🖤 lucky 🍀 you!
Un in love with tarot de luz. I’m gonna buy greenoracle 😍😍😍😍🤣🌟
That plant oracle deck has been on my list for a while def ordering it soon I have her tree deck and love it ,I enjoy a good guudebook
Would love the decks to
I love love love the green witch tarot deck it's gorgeous and I love the backs and the druid craft deck is one of the ones I order tomorrow I want the animal deck that has the farm animals on it
By the way how adorable do you look too like an autumnal vision and yes more videos after bedtime I love listening to you talk 🙌❤️🙌❤️
AW Thank youuuuu!
I’m just the opposite I couldn’t connect with the Druid Craft but I love the Green Witch tarot.
I love your top and your eyes are mesmerizing...thank you for your time to put this great vid together...loved your thoughts on deck insanity
Thank you so for these Anti-Hauls! So instructive and entertaining!
Ya 🤥
You’re so much fun! I love these I really feel like we are just sitting, hanging and having a chat. Thanks for your honest thoughts! 💖
Seriously this is my favourite channel on TH-cam.
ty Lisa, for touching on that threshold we all have about over spending on beautiful cards! ❤️ your content!
I'm reading and using my Enchanted forest tarot right the book is so good,I pair it with my sacred forest oracle
I agree with you lisa,Lisa, why I wait to Back a deck and give it time ,my jamie sawyer decks are special to me and I def agree with you on out of print decks I tend to not spend over a certain amt on decks minus a few special to me ones on etsy I'm and earth sign lol
Those herbiary n so on decks I definitely do want n have on preorder big time same as the macabre tarot, tarot v etc hell yeah
I had never heard of the dreamscape oracle before, now I have another deck going on my list to try and get my hands on 😶
Same here lol
LOL
Talked myself out of the new Forager’s daughter tarot kickstarter. I prefered the older version.
The characters in the Smythtiy deck remind me of playmobile ppl.
I put my eyeballs on that space 😁 Thank you for past-your-bedtime ramble ✨❤️
I love the idea of a purgatory!💜
The Smithtiny is so cute!! I think my daughter would like it. I’m going to look into it!
YES! I'm watching the development of the Jessica Tarot with GREAT Interest LOL
I love your top and your eye makeup...hahahha nothing to do with the decks!
Loved this! And your outfit and makeup is so pretty! Like a monarch butterfly!
Awwww what a sweet compliment, thank you!! 🥰🦋🥰
YES, I DO love when you film it late night…😆💞non stop talking x such an educational content = 💎✨
Aw thank you! 🥰
The fragrance Oracle Deck creator Julie Nelson is a friend and the only Kickstarter deck I'm supporting big time she reached her target with 20 days still to go she was and still is very communicative about constant progress with the deck I love the deck
Hey Lisa!!!! Have you checked out the "Animal Allies" decks? I just LOVE mine, but also interested in "Animal Kin" too =)
Hey Lisa... its been a hard day at work. You have no idea how happy I am to see your vid pop up x
So sorry you had a rough day! Sending love!
@@Lisa_Papez oh how lovely are you. Yes my day improved thanks to your video. Love your passion and energy that is always at the core of the videos you make. Always raise a smile
I would love the healing waves tarot it's gorgeous it could show up in trade groups here in Australia you never know.
I love watching your videos BUT right now I am waiting for your book to arrive. I am wanting to dig in! SELF-Love!!
Aw YAY!!! I hope you love it!!
Thanks for the video!
OOOooo... hmmmmm welllll I may need to give it another look....
@@Lisa_Papez 😂
I love love love what you had to say about your OOP insanity segment. At the end of the day, there will be those unicorn decks that I will never get the chance to own. And you know what? That's okay. If it's not meant to be, then there are so many other decks I have and love or that I'm bound to discover. 💜
Exactly!! Yes!
Do I get a top of the class sticker from Peggy for you not buying the Iris because of the reclaim and me not buying the reclaim because of the Iris? That’s two decks not brought for one chat! 😂❤️ loved this so much. That rosebud tarot 🥰
YASSSSS We both get stickers! :D :D Hehehe Yah that Rosebud Tarot seems right up your alley right now! ;)
LLewellyn needs to pick up that Healing Waves Tarot🙏🙏🙏
Love love your videos!!!
I don't know if you ever made this video, but I would love a video on your Major Archana decks.
I think I only have two at the moment, but if I get more I may make a video! LOL
YES! I'm keeping a VERY close eye on the Jessica Tarot - even though I understand it may be a while before it's really available!
I enjoyed this episode so much! Thank you!
It's available Mass Market right now! :) US Games!
It's available Mass Market now from US Games!
OMG, I want the Smith Tiny Deck ! It's so cute !
Welcome!!! Yes I'd LOVE to see a full flip through of the Tarot V... but I think production on that one was delayed so we may be waiting a bit!
@@Lisa_Papez it's delayed?!?!?! Noooooooo 😫😤 Publishing date is supposed to be Nov 8
@@tarottarantulas Still looks like Nov 8!! :) I think earlier it was supposed to release prior to Halloween though!
@@Lisa_Papez ohhhh! Ok, I can end my inner tarot tantrum then. Lol
@@SunTurtle Yes I saw that!! It’ll be worth the wait. I don’t want to spend a ton of money on a deck that will eventually be reprinted
@@jessreadscards I am so excited about all their reprints! 😄
I love your wisdom thank you
I'm definitely guilty of having bought decks because they were cheap - you live and learn!
I backed Wisdom of the Depths instead - if Healing Waves comes out mass market I will definitely take a look, but otherwise I'm good for now 😀
So incredibly envious of the Vampire Tarot!! 😫
LOL I've had to start watching your long videos on 1.25x.. ngl it kind of stresses me out sometimes, but I love your takes so it's worth it.
Aw LOL Sorry about the stress!! I can't fully relate - I watch almost everything at 2x speed LOL!
Tarot of Luz is out as a mm Fournier deck under the name aitor saraiba tarot.
Thank you for the tip!! I may end up giving that one another look...
I die not back the healing waves tarot because I did not like it that much and now I wish I did 😭
Sometimes I have to get used on a deck, it’s not always instant love.
I so wanted the Monstarot travel size but the shipping cost to me in Canada was expensive. So waiting.

I love watching walkthroughs of decks i'm not gonna buy LOL
Tou should do a purgatory vid. That would be fun, I think. Thank you.
The shift in color-style is SO appealing!!!!
The Dreamscape is a beautiful deck but i HATE the card stock so i dont use it as much as i want to
I am buying the reclaim oracle because of you :) The Mystic Pallet Tarot is tempting me SO much too. Im trying to not buy anything but i broke and bought the Zombie Tarot so i already ruined that LOL
Dreamscape is available Mass Market from US Games which has really nice cardstock (IMO). But YAY for the Zombie Tarot!
I have the green witch deck it's absolutely amazing I have preordered the macabre tarot it draw me in big time and when it comes to botanical, herb etc card decks ECLECTIC GREEN HOUSE KITCHEN WITCH HERE
Great video
OK Lisa , so liked this one (as with ALL your Anti-hauls). I liked the ending talk about "Fear of Missing out" and regret--because the deck might come out on mass market. I've been licking my wounds over the Bonestone and Earthflesh Tarot Deck. There are whispers it might be coming out on mass-market. We'll see.
Yah! Exactly!
Yes the group is amazing very supportive as well highly recommend the group
I am concerned because my Healing Waves Tarot has not arrived yet. It was shipped and it looks like it may have made it to US, but I am not sure, and the estimate for delivery has already passed, I am going to be so upset if it doesn't arrive. I have not been successful in contacting them at all. Very upsetting.
I've had the best luck reaching them through their Facebook page! If you haven't tried that - it could be worth a try!!! Here's the link: facebook.com/The-healing-waves-tarot-105929858222552/

I just got it on this week! So excited!
the herbiary and the beastiary are both in deluxe format.
@@Lisa_Papez yup the oracle decks. I know. I talked myself out of buying them LOL
I love when you talk too much Lisa! 😊 the longer the video, the better 😂
I saw this saying on a tee and immediately thought of you. Since you referenced your unicorn notecard today, I thought it would be a good time to share:
"Always be yourself... unless you can be a unicorn. Then be a unicorn!"
This video was the perfect relaxation with a cup of English Breakfast tea. Thank you, dear one!
YES YES YES! I have seen that on a mug or shirt myself I think!!! I need to grab one of those soon!
I adore the new category of decks you're not keeping! 💖 This is the PERFECT place to do this category. I am definitely interested in which decks you ultimately decide not to keep. 😊
YAY!!!
YOLO! ☺️
