My family was stationed in Germany with Robby Robbinson and his family in the 80's.
I remember walking my brother and I walking my dog, and watching Robby run over other soliders during football games.
His daughter Natalie must be about 39 right now.
I was a kid then. Wow time flies fast.
Nice scene from this movie, Mr. Robinson was in my mind one of the best bodybuilders in the world. What made me twinge a little however, is how Arnold puts Robby on 'display', for the amusement of others...Its obvious that Mr. Robinson was a low key guy, who wanted just to enjoy himself at this gathering.
Had the pleasure of meeting Robbie sitting outside Golds in 87, sitting putting his socks on in his VW Beetle. Credit to the sport, so many bodybuilders are walking around a mess whilst Robbie still looks great
I know this comment is old but do you still see him time to time if you still go to GOlds gym, im sure he still goes there

Found out about Robby's book "The Black Prince"a little over a week ago. I'm almost finished with the book but I wish I wasn't...it's that inspiring. The 1st muscle magazine I ever had was a Muscle builder/Power from late 70's with Robby on cover hitting a double bi. I've been back into training( for real )for a few months now. Robby's book came at just the right time for me. Love his honesty. My favorite bodybuilders in the 80's were Zane, Platz, Mentzer (cause those were the guys Weider promoted in the magazines). I appreciate Robby now more than ever. Robby's will to succeed and belief in himself are inspiring beyond belief.
There was a lovely looseness to their fun back then..now we have sneering and paranoia.

when i watch you trough the years , your body remain the same its like, i could see a photo and indentify your body, nowdays all the bodybuilder body look the same.

What i like about you guys ,even thou i never met you in person is that the movie"pumping iron" , not only show body-builder but also friendship and camaradery there is no proud or makin fun of someone , just pure friendship between you guys(that's i what i like about the movie)
