I just noticed how much energy I expend when I watch or listen to Prince. He expends exponentially more than that to do the performances and light up an entire stadium.. Amazing.
Absolutely epic!!! Prince has way too many special moments for you to ever make reaction videos too. But I love that you do, and pick some great ones! Buy there will never be another like Prince. I've seen this man live 51 times between the years of 1988 and 2015. I will love him until the day I die! Just Incredible!
He’s just fabulous isn’t he? Sometimes I just can’t describe the joy I feel watching him. He’s just so incredible and fascinating especially live. In my opinion the most complete artist that there ever has been 💜 Thank you for your reactions … more please. Thank you also to JJ for requesting all these Prince reactions 💜
Aw mate, I only saw him 6 times but over 4 decades which was a beautiful thing. I saw him around this time in 92 at Maine Road, an old football ground of Manchester City. I still have that concert programme, like I do all my concerts. Great vid mate. JJ loves Prince, I love you x
its after Batman staff its diamond and pears era but its obvious that even in Batman era he was ahead making staff in PPark studios. The mimic dancing in the background is phenomenal acting the bad boyz as dolls its not even comprehended ...just look when Rosie raps at the back
Nick, thanks so much for reacting to this one! I am so happy you liked it. You are correct about the timing. This is at the same time as the Diamonds & Pearls album, and that is the same album that The New Power Generation (NPG) became his backing band (although most of the members had been playing with him for a while). Michael B is on drums and Sonny T is on bass. Sonny T and Prince grew up together in Minneapolis. Before this part of the performance, he did the song Diamonds & Pearls. Loved your reaction 💜💜💜
That one will blow his mind especially since he recorded all the instrumentals in one take! Drums first, then just adding one instrument after another … that’s a genius track. I listened to an interview with Morris Hayes about it!
Nick, this TH-cam quality was much improved over the last one! Could see it much better. Those high heels combined with leaps and turns unfortunately led to chronic pain in his feet, and were the main reason for the prescription drugs found in his system at the time of his death. JJ, keep ‘em coming! This was fantastic!
Although a lesser known album, The Black Album(1987) could be one of his best ever. No radio hits, wasnt even released for a long time for a variety of reasons depending on what you read but it has everything musically and lyrically you could ask for.
Nick, Prince is an incredible performer, you and Lex have to watch his movie, Purple Rain, I watched your reaction to the album Purple Rain but my god, you and Lex have to watch Purple Rain, you will be blown away at the performances.
Also when Prince starts dancing its exact the same technique Paula Abdul does her dance into her hit song "straight up". its true Paula Abdul was into Prince world and Paula was a pro Prince did it as master pro in dancing ... Check the videos its obvious
That's from the early 1990s - there's also a fantastic live take from 1984, his breakthrough year (at least to the wider mainstream audiences: he was already a big star with coloured r'n'b and funk fans, but Purple Rain really turned him into a household name with white people too, and in Europe). I saw this clip on MTV and was riveted by it, of course. Prince and the Revolution - Baby, I'm a Star (live in Maryland, November 20, 1984): th-cam.com/video/9Lgf2VU_M70/w-d-xo.html
Great video Nick. I saw Prince in 1982, and I hate to say it, but it was a bit of a disappointment. This performance was far better. Thanks to the patron who requested it. Great live performance.
The last words ANY Prince fan ever wants to hear is "Tony, get on the mic." I really don't know why that dude recommended this to you. I have dozens of live video performances of Prince. I would not have recommended this one to you at all. He is so much better than this. And by the way, he always wore the stage boots (high-heels). Unfortunately the jumping off pianos into the splits wearing those things led indirectly to his death, so as much as we like watching such moves, it makes us cringe a bit knowing what was to come (double-hip replacement and fentanyl overdose).
Glad we opened the Prince portal and have been doing 3 or 4 reactions in last 30 days!

Freddie Mercury Says hi on the un-matched talent.
Sure but try putting all that in the title of the video😋

Sonny T, the bassist taught P how to play guitar.
The rap section was all part of Push.
