Thank you so much for the video, all this time I’ve been thinking it was so much more than that. I basically have everything and a few appointed carriers. But I still have so many questions
Hi! I just found your account and I’m truly inspired! I have my SC Life Insurance Producer License & I just passed my SC Accident and Health exam 2 days ago. I previously started with a company in SC but I no longer want to work under them for ethical reasons. Thanks for this video! Let’s connect. I’m newly licensed btw!
I am starting My agency in NJ, I have my license and I am getting ready to start. I am the only agent and I work with a Accountant that has his office for many years. Should I start as a LLC?
If you're going to continue to do youtube, I'd suggest putting links to some of the products you suggest in the description. once your channel becomes big enough you can get affiliate links if the services offers them. You mentioned CRM but didn't give any recommendations. You mentioned esign but didn't give any recommendations. As two examples of what I'm talking about.
You think I can make it starting an agency on my own from scratch with no background experience in insurance? Im in the process of getting appointed with a carrier right now
It’s definitely possible, I would recommend doing a lot of studying on your down time. Feel free to book a call if you wanna go in depth calendly.com/kennyj/30-min-call-30
Hi Mob, I’m actually in the same boat. I actually have the capital, just got my license etc and I have no background experience. How did you go by getting appointed and with company if you don’t mind
Hey, Im Currently in the process of going independent. Im P&C licensed in 36 states. I have 4 years of experience but definitely ready to branch off. Are you still offering the meeting calls to give more info on how to start? Im very interested.
Thank you for the video Kenny. I’m a life insurance agent with an Insurance Marketing Org. I am looking at going completely independent. What kind of expenses are we looking at as far as becoming an agency in my state, appointment process, website, etc?
Great video! I’m in the DFW area and just subscribed! I have my life and health license in 35 states and work in the Medicare arena now, but I want to own my own agency in the next year. I’m studying for my P&C license now. Do you recommend having P&C license in multiple states or just home state?
Hi, good to know you ate happy with your decision, I wish you the best Bro. Could you tell me what are the best aggregators/clusters in NC and fees and commissions they charge? Thanks
Hi Kenny! I’m in the process of getting my life insurance licenses. To be honest, I have absolutely no knowledge in the field other than what I am currently learning. Since you worked for statefarm previously- I wanted to know if you think it’s a better idea to work for statefarm to get a better understanding of the industry. Or to jump right into being an independent agent? (Planning to go w/ family first life) THANK YOU!
Hi Jocelyn! Thank you for reaching out. Going with State Farm is key. They are also one of the top life insurance companies in the country. Hope this helps 😌
Hey, like your content you're putting out. How many carriers have you been able to get direct appointments with so far? Also, how would you compare requesting appointments with some of the Life Health carriers vs those focusing on P&C?
Hi! Direct appointments, over 10 but don’t know the exact number. Getting Life/Health appointments are way easier, some P&C appointments require you to submit a business plan and could potentially drop you if you don’t meet their quota.
@@KennyJTV bro you have a video on this ! You gotta make one I just passed my life exam in VA I’m looking for a agency to work with and you’re right not a lot of people look like us on TH-cam so I found you and you have great content
Good morning Kenny I am a young South African engineer who is interested in starting an insurance broker company, with my network I think I can secure at least 40 000 people if I can get my business off the ground. I need a mentor because in my country seems like it is monopolised to these big corporate but I am confident that with proper guidance I can have a break through, any assistance will be highly appreciated.
The first video that I’ve seen on this subject that actually provided useful content. Thank you

I'm in Sc as well, where are you located?
Can you go into more detail on how to go about the carrier appointment.
So true. The info is difficult to find. I keep researching daily. Looking for an agency to work with in MN.
What license do you have?
Thanks for sharing your time with people and how you became an insurance agent.
Great job Kenny. Keep up the good work!!!

Hu Kenny. Great video. May I ask which CRM is best to use?
Also, we’d be very interested in a video on how to get carrier appointments
Thank you!
Yes this is what I came here for because this is basic business start up not insurance
I thought you were going to explain how to get agents; and how to set up there commission.
More content coming soon, if you’d like to book a call feel free: calendly.com/kennyj/30-min-call-kenny
Do you accept money order and cash when writing business? If so, how were you able to set your business up to accept that?
We only accept electronic payments! You can go through certain finance companies to be able to take those payments.
What Crm are you using??
Hubspot!

Absolutely! Congrats!
Can you be a captive and independent at the same time?
No, you can only be one or the other.
Is LCC or INC an a good setup for an insurance company ?
Can't decide between insurance or real estate.
Insurance is easier to breakthrough in. Everyone NEEDS insurance not everyone needs to buy a home. Especially in this market.

Can one be an independent agent without starting an agency?
You absolutely can!
You have to be bonded, don't you?
@UrbanDefensiveTactics you don’t
What cluster did you connect with- I’m currently with Smart Choice?
I am too!
I’m thinking of going over to Smart Choice myself. I’m P&C. Do you know the base commission?
