    Hi guys, your videos and drills have been so helpful. Especially for someone who can't pay for to many lessons 😅. Got me down to a 4 handicap and loving the game again.

    So easy once you know how, I will most definitely do all you say and more importantly know that I’ll improve, simplicity is the key, big thank you

    Il y a des centaines de vidéos sur le swing « parfait » mais celle-ci est une des meilleures . Tout y est: les basiques, les différentes phases, le rythme, la dynamique, le release... pour tous les niveaux de joueurs. Cette vidéo est excellente car tout est expliqué simplement. Swing très efficace

    I appreciate the great content in this video. For me your pointers on hip rotation and right leg position is huge. While there are several elements of a golf swing that are key to consistent ball striking, I experienced a significant improvement when following your hip rotation guidance on the course today.
    I'm wondering if you have suggestions or course material on maintaining stroke consistency throughout a round of golf. While I prepare for golf by working on flexibility and strength training I sense that my body works differently on the last few holes compared with earlier holes in a round. It's likely due to stiffening, fatigue, and/or discomfort. What suggestions do you have to maintain a consistent golf swing from the first to the eighteenth hole? I'm particularly interested in your experience with coaching golfers in the seventy and eighty year old age range.

    • @meandmygolf.
      @meandmygolf.  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Doug, yes this is very common as you get older. We actually have a coaching plan called Flexible in 15 that will definitely help eradicate any fatigue towards the end of a round. Is this something that could be useful to you?

      Mainly consistent ball striking, how to aim properly and lastly fixing my slice a bit more 😄

    • @meandmygolf.
      @meandmygolf.  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s great, that’s something we can definitely keep helping with you with. When you say slice what club would you normally see this happen with?

    • @robjohnston7225
      @robjohnston7225 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Slice is probably more driver but half the time irons as well, I used to aim more left than needed to compensate (I’m right handed) was really bad slice.

    • @meandmygolf.
      @meandmygolf.  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay, Rob that's great. One thing we are confident on is if you were to become a member of me and my golf and follow our processes that slice will go. To get to know you a little bit better, if you were to become a member at me and my golf what would you hope to achieve in the next couple of months and how much would getting rid of the slice help you with this?

    I’d say the one thing I had to add was to keep the lead arm connected to the chest through impact to stop throwing arms out to right field. It improved center contact and stopped hosel problems.

  • @nickolasmagos219
    @nickolasmagos219 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Technically the weight shift happens after you hit the ball otherwise you will slide and either miss the ball or make bad contact. Only a pressure shift to start the back swing and a pressure shift to start the down swing.
    Not a fan of leadbetter's a-swing with the club face matching the spine angle. I prefer jim hardy's one plane swing with the toe up to toe up drill.

    • @meandmygolf.
      @meandmygolf.  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We would have to disagree with you here Nickolas. We shift the hips close to the target from the top of the golf swing. This way we get the majority of the weight in to the lead leg at impact.

    • @nickolasmagos219
      @nickolasmagos219 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@meandmygolf. A weight shift causes lateral movement thus moving the lowest point of the swing arc forward. A pressure shift in the feet simply allows the body to turn while staying centered over the ball. Maybe diggers have a different style than sweepers.

    Hy guy excellent tips as always, my question would be, when do start to turn the right hand, is it before you hit the ball or after or after hitting the ball?

    • @meandmygolf.
      @meandmygolf.  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For now don’t think of it like that, practise first at just trying to turn the right hand through the golf ball and you should notice a difference. If you need more guidance please come back here and ask we are happy to help👍

    I just play the clubs according to their offset and close to the middle of my stance. Only with driver I play it forward and have some side bend.

  • @wordofmo
    @wordofmo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    One if the things that frustrates me is when a teacher completely exaggerates a wrong move.
    When they talk about over the top, they throw their club way out in front of them rather than more realistically what a golfer with an over the top swing would do. It’s hard to really recognize what the average golfer does or how it relates to one’s own swing when it’s exaggerated so much.
    In this video, toward the beginning, you talk about keeping the arm close to the body and the backswing. That’s fine, but the example of the wrong way to do it is so exaggerated that it’s hard to relate to it.
    This is something that almost every TH-cam teacher does but other than that, I love your material.

    • @meandmygolf.
      @meandmygolf.  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Craig, thank you for your feedback and we completely agree with you. One thing we have changed with our style on TH-cam now is what to do first because that’s the most important thing for everyone to know. The bad example after is just to show if anyone is even anywhere near close they need to listen to our original tip.

    It seems like my biggest problem right now boils down to lack of lag and hitting the ball upwards instead of hitting it first before the ground, so I will practise that weight transfer technique and hopefully I can get that sorted :D

    Wouldn't it be great if we called it a "TURN away" instead of a "takeaway" or a "move away"? Most people start by MOVING the clubhead/hands/arms, rather than TURNing. Calling it a "TURN away" would remind people to start the swing by turning their body. I like to do this by pulling my right hip back first.
