A real interesting one: The Werewolf of Livonia. In 1691 An octogenarian who was brought forth as a witness to a church robbery basically told the court, "yeah yeah never mind that. me and my two pals are werewolves. Actually these cases were a minority, and false accusations were well known and generally assumed when no evidence was present. And a large amount of witchcraft cases were legit. Look into the existing literature, a good collection is made by Montague Summers in his "History of Witchcraft and Demonology". The pop media would let you believe that unpopular old ladies were the greatest victim group, and this is not true. Many of the convicted were of nobility, many apostate priests. People really should look into the subject instead of spouting platitudes and parrotting.
5:15 - An angel in armor? Interesting. I didn't think anything could hurt and angel so why would s/he need armor? 6:21 - "No one could conceive that a mere horse wrangler would be chosen to receive blessings and wisdom... " Colossal snobbery! Funny how they couldn't believe God or the angels would bother with the guy but had no trouble believing that the devil would! Thomas Looten's story reminds us; No matter how innocent you are, *ALWAYS GET A LAWYER!!!* The two nuns were bannished from the convent? Where could they go after that? It sounds like Madeline's relatives took her back, but what about Louise?
There is nothing strange about male witches, as the whole idea behind the faith is celebrating both sides needed in creation. Both masculine and feminine are necessary. Therefore such symbols as the seal of Solomon, both symbols of the male and female contained within the circle A phallus (upwards triangle) and the challis (upside-down triangle aka womb) The literal embodiment of the essence of creation and birth in the natural world.
I think it is knowledge taught to mankind by the fallen angels, it is a very grievous sin, the present day witches would be wise to talk amongst themselves to determine the anticipated retributions they should be expecting from God as they go through life
Reverend (Judge) George Burroughs of the Salem Witchcraft trials please. I've never seen or found any info that dug deep into how influential and significant his involvement in the dark magics actually were---seeing as most references only make mention of his name saying he was involved and accused. No details of how, why, causes of his wanting to get involved, etc.

Witch and wizard are not exchangeable as terms. From the general understanding, 'sorcerer' or 'warlock' would be more suitable. While it is true that men were more likely to be tried and executed as werewolves than as witches, the witch trials have seen male witches as well as female ones. The term was neutral, as it is again today.
Yes, men can be witches. It's a gender neutral term. It was only later that the Church influenced the term to signify women because witch women were healers and the Church wanted to get rid of them and have their doctors take the business. The term "Warlock" is a disputed term that some say means "oath-breaker" but there are other meanings to the word and it's an ongoing debate.

Of course they weren’t, you can say all of the women convicted of witchcraft weren’t witches neither. They were basically burned, drowned or hanged because they were either youthful in appearances, had money, was poor or they wanted land that they had and so saying that they were a witch would remove them in order to do what the pleases with the land.

Huh, Witch And Wizards Are Different. ○_○.....
No , during the time witch was used for both, only in modern media ate witches only portrayed as female exclusively. People who practice witchcraft and the occult today are witches regardless of gender.
@@drmat-xr1xg Ohhhhhhh....... I see 😲 thank you for the information ☺️❤️❤️❤️
@@kawayanan_art it's alright, I practice the occult, witchcraft and mysticism and I think people should be educated instead of just being insulted :)
@@drmat-xr1xg aww, thank for the explanation ❤️❤️❤️ I appreciate it ❤️❤️❤️
None of them were witches
Of course they weren’t, you can say all of the women convicted of witchcraft weren’t witches neither. They were basically burned, drowned or hanged because they were either youthful in appearances, had money, was poor or they wanted land that they had and so saying that they were a witch would remove them in order to do what the pleases with the land.
