Azazel , before his Het ( fall, demotion or lowering) with Het being a Hebrew word being as the word Sin in the Bible. Azazel's Angelic status was Angel of Sacrifice. , explains his presence in the book of Leviticus on the Day of Atonement as scapegoat. One of the 2 goats offered up to God and one the sins of man. If anyone remembers from the book of Enoch. Azazel was bound in the desert on sharp broken rocks like the cliff the scapegoat is run off of. Azazel's name meaning rough, strong or jagged and scapegoat. Also explains his presence as the unclean bird and the ram in the bush during Abrahams viewing in the Apocalypse of Abraham and in the Bible, book of Genesis. I also feel Azazel was present in the New Testament during Jesus's 40 day fast in the wilderness being tempting him to jump off the cliff. I also feel during Jesus's betrayal kiss , Jesus making His famous saying " get behind me satan". I believe that Azazel was the evil spirit that Jesus cast out of the man and into the pigs running them off the Jagged cliff. Azazel in my opinion is a shape shifting Jinn or the evil spirits talked about in the book of Enoch, the Quran and other ancient texts. Azazel was present during the crucifixion of Jesus, Jesus being self sacrifice for all the sins of man. Jesus becoming the Righteous, perfect and pure scapegoat, taking from Azazel his keys to the Abyss. On a the Sons of God taking wives. I believe there is some disambiguation in that translation. Rather than the Angels taking wives or becoming married to the human women. I believe the sin and disruption was the Angels took human men's wives, defiling them with adultery's. The Levitical Law states that the man or male human can cause the woman the commit adultry by unconsented or against the woman's will. Similar to the story of Gilgimesh and his epics where he has sex with newly wedded men's wives before the men can. Making Azazel wanting to take Eve, Adams wife in the garden, knowing her before Adam. Maybe another reason Azazel want bow down to Adam. The intimacy of all 3 seen in Abrahams viewing suggests to me that the embracing is suggestive of Azazel's ability to violate both Adam and Eve with Sodomy and Adulteries.

This is why it's so important to read the Book of Enoch. Also other books that have been left out. These books fill in gaps that are not in a regular King James, NIV, Standard English version, etc. I have been studying the Bible for over 20 years. I believe the Books of Enoch were reserved for this time period. If people read these books, they should think twice about their sinful lives. With that said we all sin, but some enjoy their sinful lives. Enoch describes what Hell, Sheol, Hades is like and it's terrifying. People need to wake up and repent before it's too late.
The new testament was an infiltration used to control the masses and the truth was removed. Enoch was removed because in that book, he tells you where lucifer and the fallen angels are and that is Antarctica buried under the ice. Now it makes a lot sense to me why Obama, John Kerry, the Pope, the Russian Patriarch Krill, and many others go to that baron place, and wht a one way ticket is $70,000.

I hate to break it to you but the Book of Enoch is a forgery. This was a tough one for me when I found out but if you look at how it was 'discovered and by whom, it is pretty undeniable. There were no copies of it anywhere and all of a sudden James Bruce has enough copies to give away- one conveniently to the king of France! I only just found out about it so I am no expert but research it.

How Azazel is described in the garden matches the description of the the heavenly being called a seraphim, a winged serpent.
Seraphim are type of angel, nothing to do with a serpent

Interesting. Wonder if since man was made of Earth and Azazel made/spawned from fire, what about creatures or entities made of the other elements. Water, air? Curious to me. Have always been interested in different beliefs, religions and the similarities within as well as differences between them. I feel like our Creator is so massive and great that our human minds may not be able to comprehend the Truth in its entirety so it has been fragmented into smaller pieces and our quest is to restore it or at least become to understand. I don't really know much though. Is just always been my take on religion. There's more but I think I've said enough for now.
When I first read the book of Enoch, the hairs on the back of my neck raised. Something, maybe everything, about the book rang true to my bones. Like it was answering so many questions about life and the way we live.
Another thing I have to say: the idea of several entities making the claim that they tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden. This can be very confusing if we see that more than one entity says they did the deed, but it could be as simple as ego. Maybe they each WANT to be known as the one who caused man to fall. But if scriptures say it was Azazel, then it was Azazel.
That's because, my friend, the Book of Enoch is also God's inspired Word, written by Enoch himself.
The Book of Enoch survived the great flood onboard the arc God had Noah build, as did many other texts.

@@disasterlord2010 in the Apocalypse of Abraham, it is mentioned by God that Azazel was the one who caused man to fall, in the Book of Enoch another angel by the name of Gadreel claimed to have done the deed, and this is a stretch but in Jewish folklore Lilith is thought to have caused man to fall as well. There are others but I can't remember right now. Depending on if you actually consider other books to be reliable, I leave that to you.

Satan is a title and all fallen angels hold that title . Thus , there are many satans. The title means "the accuser of man before God.."

Incidentally... Where did the angels come from? Nowhere is there creation mentioned. Did the exist before the heaven (where they 'live') and earth, or afterwards?
Now, the devil. Where is he mentioned in the bible? Are you saying Lucifer and the 'devil' are the same person? And who created the 'devil'? If 'God created everything, then he must have created the 'devil'. In which case, 'God' created evil...
Now, from reading the bible, we know that sin existed before Adam and Eve learned about it, it was in the fruit of a tree in the garden. 'God' put it there. Oh, and NO WHERE in the bible does it suggest that the serpent, which he created, was 'the devil' or Lucifer. It was just a talking snake. Either way, 'God' 'created' flawed beings, put temptation in their face and then punished them for giving in to their god given flaws.
Then, sent his son, who is himself (!?) to die in order to cleanse his flawed creations of the sin he created and introduced them to! The same sin we have not been forgiven for because we still commit the sins and have to pray for forgiveness of!
It is all bollocks. You are far better off reading the Egyptian Book Of The Dead - which is the text Moses was taught as a child and which the 10 commandments are based on.

Azazel was the one who seduced the other angels into taking wives. Remember that angels are vastly more intelligent then men, like a chess player that sees 100 moves in advance. According to semitic and iranic lore, he hatched this plan early on when he was still in heaven, in order to leave heaven and become supreme ruler of earth and demand worship from men. So he was complaining to God about the many sins committed by men, God replying in the sense of: I'll give you a body, then you go and see how hard it is to avoid sin. Very interesting and in-depth work. Some years ago, a Gentleman that i knew and I would spend Wednesday evenings discussing various Topics related to Metaphysics but not in as much depth. He, and his father were Biblical Scholars that specialized in the Jewish Kabbalah, He would often instruct some of the Teaching Rabbis on these matters.
He spoke and read six languages and his father spoke nine. Both were well versed in Ancient Aramaic. Although I had little more than a passing familiarity with "The Book of Lies", I found that his interpretations of some of the words and phrases really caught my attention and Interest as I think that some of the Ancient stories appear to be referring to things other than individuals.
His reference to the actual meaning of the story that it would be as easy for a rich man to be able to enter Heaven, as it would be to being able to pass a Camel through the eye of a, (the) needle opened up a lot of possible interpretations of many of the Worlds stories and legends!

Between the odd way Azazel slips in halfway through the book of Enoch specifically as a teacher, his ritualistic importance in the sacrifices, and the fact Judaism was originally polytheistic I get the strong impression Azazel was some sort of knowledge God in a faith that saw knowledge as evil. He is definitely clearly a devil figure before the devil was conceptualized.

Azazel is an interesting figure, I think he is the example of "the way to Hell is paved with good intentions", as he ends up doing bad things in the name of helping others, like teaching humans how to forge weapons or warn them of the pains of hell. I think his greatest flaw was his pride, as he thought he could deviate from God's commands without repercussions.

You gotta understand something, in this Book,God didn't even know this was going on until one of His angels reported it to Him. This puts a huge hole in the Protestant teaching that God is everywhere all the time and knows everything. No; that can't be true; Else why would God appoint captains over 10 and captains over 200 and captains over thousands? It's a hierarchy. That's why sometimes the angels are called God's armies.
While I'm picking on Protestants ; Where is Jesus in this story?The Protestants say Jesus was with God from the beginning and was the creative Force. And that Jesus and God are part of a Trinity, together with the Holy Spirit. So where is He? I mean this is only some 700 years after the Creation Week. IDK, but there is no mention of Him.

I recently read Leviticus and came across the word Azazel. However, if this really interests you, before I was reading the bible, I read the book "The Scapegoat Complex". An interesting correlation if the deeper meaning of the scapegoat. I must warm you, it was written in the 70s and is very heady.

Yea hearing how he didn't really mess with the woman and focused on teaching humanity the secrets of war, then eventually being seen in Heaven again along with Metatron makes me think even though what he taught to humans was absolutely abhorrent by God, perhaps he realized it was necessary for them to defend themselves from whatever forces tried to harm them. Hey, The Legends of History dude, I understood through reading up on the subject that the Nephilim were "the heroes of old, men of renown" and not the Watchers. But then again, some believe that the Sons of God were the descendants of Seth while the daughters of men were descended from Cain. After all it was Tubal-Cain, the first smith, who created, allegedly, the weapons which lead to war and may have been a son of a son of Seth and of a daughter of Cain. And maybe the Watchers and Azazel are the precursors for devils and The Devil, but then again it seems like scholars had tried to simply identify by merging old spirits with the new. There is still so much ambiguity going on that it gets interesting to discern canon from apocryphal.

I've known some one who had a encounter with a person who was thought to be possessed... as this person sat and was approached and sat on a park like bench beside him a young woman...she looked at a small flock of black birds and they fell from the air dead! No doubts this was not a ordinary woman he began to ask her , her name referring to who possessed her... she refused to say... and boasted how powerful it was it killed the birds but he kept asking for it's name till finally ok I'll call you NO! My friend told him his name ...as to introduce himself...well the Spirit got angry and in a voice not of this young woman's said, Azazel ,my name is Azazel, Pryor to this encounter this small woman had beat up several grown men and authorities that tried to subdue her after the assault... 6 big security officers ask my friend to leave and took all of them to subdue her and put her in hand cuffs ... the story was given to the public was the woman must of been on drugs..? Well i believe my friends story was the truth and the names of these spirit entities are real and do exist no matter what culture or beliefs people have,what ever they are ,they are real! So my advice is not to talk to them or look for or try to contact them... or use a witch board or you may get more than you bargain for..and for sceptics...better to be safe than sorry! And leave well enough alone!

Honestly, with the beginning being Azazel receiving the "scapegoat" with all the sins the humans spoke to it. I really think that azazel was God's scapegoat for all sin. And if humans already ate the apple, they already would have been cursed with sin the moment they were banished to earth. Even the moments with azazel teaching humanity how to craft. Humanity already being capable of sin, then I think humans turned his teachings more malicious than he could have thought. I also can't believe he would be the one that tricked humanity to eat the apple seeing as that act would have made whoever did it be immediately banished from heaven with them, instead of being given a high position in watching those he tricked in the first place.

@@willlawson8044 I didn't say they created sin, I am saying Azazel wouldn't have been the one to make humans begin to sin because he would have been kicked out of heaven for tricking them into eating the apple. It was because they ate the apple that they were intelligent enough to think for themselves. They would be able to take a simple lesson on using tools and make a version of those tools that they would aim at one another for their own selfish reasons.

Had a Tolkien related conversation couple weeks ago and the Valár: Aulë was brought up then. Aulë created the dwarfs in secret to help do his work in Middle-earth.
