I know, right? In fact, it annoys me when I see people not scrapping everything out of the bowl. Especially now, with everything being so expensive, it just doesn't make sense to waste. Back in the day, we used to say, "Don't waste your food cause there's starving people in Ethiopia." Now there's starving people in America as well as everywhere else.
My goodness, I also scrape every bit out with a spatula. Why waste food when it is so expensive. I received your cookbook and loving it. I am 71 years old and have been cooking for over 50 years. Love and blessings from Hawaii 💖💖🙏🙏🌺🌺💖💖
Tom, these people saying anything about scraping bowlsare just jealous cause they cant cook as good as you. Your a clean cook ,no animals around to get hair in the food, and theres many out there that does. Keep up doing what you're doing, if people don't like the way you cook, they dont have to watch. God bless you 🙏
How can anyone criticize you for anything!? You make good clean fresh food that’s delicious! Some people have nothing better to do and define criticism. I need to get a life. You’re a wonderful man and you make delicious food. Thank you very much.♥️
Looks absolutely delicious! And don't ever worry about a complaint regarding being annoyed about getting every bit of food out of a bowl or container. I consider that complaining person wasteful. I'm 71 and my folks went thru the Great Depression. I was taught to never waste things. And NOW food is so expensive that we mustn't waste any of it! Like you, I also use my spatula to get every last drop! I think most of your followers/subscribers appreciate you being wise & frugal with your ingredients. Blessings from central Florida. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Hey Mr. Tom and Mrs. Melissa, This Spinach Dip looks Amazing!!! I have been wanting a recipe for it!!! I could make a meal off of it!!! Thank y'all SO very much for all of your hard work!!! I will be going to my ladies Bible study Christmas party in a few weeks and I think this is what I’m going to take. Thank you, Tom and Melissa and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. God bless you both.
I have a friend of mine who makes his dip all the time and I practically eat it with a spoon. It is so delicious. I’ve always wanted the recipe and he rightfully says there’s some recipes that one should just have their signature dish. However, I am so glad that you, put this recipe forward cause I cannot wait to make it for myself and keep some in the freezer like you said and bring out what I want to eat particular evening. Oh my gosh, thank you so much.
I appreciate you scraping everything and not wasting food, I can’t stand some cooking videos that I watch, they never empty the whole can of soup or scrape it out or dump cake mix in a pan and they never scrap the bowl to get the rest. Drives me absolutely crazy. Thank you Tom for scraping the bowls, getting as much food off your beaters and not wasting food!! Dip looks delious!!! Saving this to make for New Years 😊

Ahh. I just got my cookbook also. So thankful for all the hard work in putting it all together. I so enjoy your channel. My husband will tease me and say get it all. We have always done that. We are thrifty retired teachers also in California. My husband tells people that I squeeze a penny so hard the bullet comes out of Lincoln’s head.
I'm certainly glad you don't waste anything. Why someone would complain is beyond me. I'm loving this recipe. I had some at the restaurant the other day and I have been looking for a good recipe. Thank you so much for sharing.
You and Melissa tickle me by the way y'all say it's so good. If a person doesn't like their own cooking then no one else will. Keep up the good work and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!! ❤
Thank you for sharing and I'll be making this soon!! Quick story, When my Grandson was making Mac n Cheese, he dumped out the pan in a drainer and left some macaroni in the pan and I told him to scrape out that pan and don't leave any of that heavenly goodness in there as that is another bite of Mac n Cheese you're wasting. Hahaha He was like 10 at the time and he's now 26 and he told me that he still remembers me telling him that and he still scraps the pans and doesn't waste any of that heavenly goodness!! So by all means, scrap away and don't leave a bit of that heavenly goodness behind ❤️❤️❤
Ahh. I just got my cookbook also. So thankful for all the hard work in putting it all together. I so enjoy your channel. My husband will tease me and say get it all. We have always done that. We are thrifty retired teachers also in California.
I have everything on hand, but I am wondering ... have you ever added artichokes ? If so, how much & when? Thank you for a recipe for our gathering. You & Melissa will be there in spirit.
I love love love spin dip. Always get it at Cheddars restaurant. I can hardly wait to make this. I too can’t believe that someone would complain because you’re not wasteful. Keep on being you, Tom. Love you and Melissa and what you stand for. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving with your family.
On another food video I love with Erin Jeanne McDowell, she says her Culinary teacher told them to " Scrape the bowl like it's your Christmas Bonus!" I always think of you because you are definitely getting all your bonus! Me, too - I am not rich enough to throw away food! 😊
I think I would like but I have to do a dip that the whole family likes so I will be make crockpot Mexican corn dip. We are used to turnip, mustard or collard greens. 😀❤️
That looks amazing! I'm definitely going to make this! I can't believe someone complained about not wasting anything. I do exactly the same thing. I use my "wipey", aka rubber spatchula to get EVERYTHING every time! It's the smart thing to do. Thanks again for your channel, I love you guys. Jayman...
I bought your book and it came yesterday. Thank you. I worked for a ice cream and restaurant and when the owner trained me she showed me when emptying a can of scrape that last bit in there which is about 2 T when doing that. Want not waste not. Be thankful!
I absolutely Love Spinach Dip and your recipe looks so Delicious 😋. Thank You so much for sharing your recipe. I'm definitely going to make this for the Holidays and I guarantee you I will be scraping the excess spinach out of the package. Like you I don't believe in wasting food. So agree with you.. When cooking videos/cooking shows don't scrape or don't use all of an ingredient like cutting an inch and a half of the bottom of the celery(the lighter color at the bottom of celery is my favorite part). Or cutting off the two inches of white root end of green onions which again is the part I like. Also, scrapping means it's easier to clean!

Thanks, Tom and Melissa. We have appetizers only on Christmas Eve so I love to make a good variety. I usually make a chilled spinach dip but I'm going to try this instead. I'll split it into two small casserole dishes and top one with crumbled bacon. Yummy!

Oh my Lanta, I cannot wait to try this. I’ve only had it twice and loved it both times and the first time I had it they broken up pieces of baguette, and that was so good
I make that same exact recipe but mine there is cooked crispy bacon drained well, stirred in spinach mixture right before going into oven. Save a few to crumble on top of cheese too. Yum!
I can’t believe I did not get my notification 😢but I’m watching it now 😊that looks so delicious 😋 I’m adding it to my thanksgiving list have a blessed day Tom and Melissa 🙏🏻

Hello Tom & Melissa- I am thinking this would be a great recipe for any occasion or any reason. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving. 🙏👏👏👏💕🌻
Hi guys when we make this dip in Australia we cook it in a round loaf of bread called a cob loaf .we cut the top off and pull some bread out of the middle of the loaf and break it into pieces for dipping. This all goes into the oven on a tray and you eat the bread that the dip is in as well.Delicious
I can’t believe someone would complain about the fact you don’t waste food! I appreciate that you don’t waste anything. Food is too expensive!

Back in the day, we used to say, "Don't waste your food cause there's starving people in Ethiopia." Now there's starving people in America as well as everywhere else.
If they have all the money waste food , that is on them ,they have never been hungry!
Me too .iso tell others to scrape that bowl clean or cleaner.
Looks yummy, and I can’t wait to try it! Can you explain the nutmeg ingredient? Seems like a different spice to use in spinach dip…
Can you use fresh spinach instead and just chop it ?
I scrap just like you, NOTHING IS WASTED! Keep on scraping TOM!!
I appreciate you scraping everything clean. I’ve always wondered why others don’t, because they payed for that food!
I agree, Kim. If I pay for it I’m going to use it.
