This is fantastic, I've always wondered about this. I'll definitely be doing this as soon as my current extract runs out. Have you ever made the bourbon vanilla extract?
Don’t wait, it takes at least 3 - 4 months before the vodka starts getting the true vanilla flavor. I want to try it with Bourbon too! I may make one of each depending on what I use the vanilla in 😊
They are VERY similar. I had a batch I let sit for about 8 months and did a taste test and could barley tell them apart. The only thing to keep in mind is, the longer it sits, the better it gets. If you are running low, it's likely too late to make a new batch.
Perfect timing! I’ve been wanting to try this.
My Mom makes this for everyone for Christmas and I love how simple it is! Great video ☺️
Thank you ☺️
Yum! I have always wanted to try this!!!
I ordered some vanilla beans on Amazon and they should be here tomorrow! 😊
It’s so easy to make! I will never go back to store bought.

Helena, question... how does this vanilla compare to what you find in your local grocery? Is the flavor more intense?

Been making this for years. So much cheaper.
