    As an enthusiast of the entire range of Ecureuil helicopters, this is a great video explaining the start procedure.

    I have never seen a B2 with the throttle on the collective, interesting to see. We have the version with the throttle between fuel shuttoff and rotorbrake

    Great video! That's a lot of editing time you spent, and it's very much appreciated.👍🏻
    Love the way the throttle engages the starter, it looks like a mechanical fail-safe solution.
    Interesting to see the thinking behind its design there.
    Not a relay like in the old Huey, here it's just a mechanical part on the throttle that presses a button; it's quite ingenious the way they came up with that solution.

    Didn’t know the VEMD was available on B2. Thought it was only on B3 and up

    Thank you for the Video.
    I'll watch a few more times but would love a.close up of the glass panel on start up with insert of throttle also said you will talk about the 2 fuel pumps later but didn't.
    I'm not crucifying you. I love the explanation im just being picky as I'm keen for as much info as possible. haha. I've only flown a D upgraded to a ba. Ive got a job flying a B2 so doing a bit of research Cheers again for posting.

    That wasn't too bad, I expected it to be more complicated tbh

    @UpsideDownWash,
    I have a question. On start up you mentioned to wait until 10% NG to introduce 1/3 throttle to introduce fuel. But the entire time during both start ups, I never saw the NG needle move at all. So, you have to go by the percentage numbers underneath.
    So, at what point do the NG needle actually start to move?

    • @UpsideDownWash
      @UpsideDownWash  ปีที่แล้ว

      The NG is on the top screen. Its the gauge bottom right. The bottom left is torque and dosnt come online until you get close to Isle (67%ng/n1)

      I didn't see it moving either 😕

    Never seen a B2 like that?

      @UpsideDownWash  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I don't know how many are like this. I've only ever flown this one and one "normal" one with the levers

    Much more complex than the B3 with the very comfortable Fadec 😉

    What are the gloves that you are wearing? They appear to work well with touch screens.

      @@UpsideDownWash Wonderful B2.. SN8172 from 2015! Just a curiosity .. Is a B2 still good for some kind of works and maybe is it still cheaper on fuel compsution instead of B3e ? Obviously just for some kind of works I mean!

    • @UpsideDownWash
      @UpsideDownWash  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Gianlucamastrascusa it's still good for transporting people. But when it comes to slinging it's very underpowered if you compare it to the B3e. Most slinging jobs have loads above 1000kg and that is very heavy for the b2, but a piece of cake for the B3e.
      But pax flying and surveys, inspections, light loads its good. Fuel consumption is about the same for normal ops as the B3e. About 180-190 liters pr hour.
