Kachi I am impressed with your work. I am from Akpugo-Ezedike in Uzo-uwani LGA, Nsukka my people call God Ezechitote Abiama Akatamgbugbo. Our traditional people (ancestors) use the name in deep reverence to Chukwu.
Noted!
Thank you.
What's your thought on Akatamgbugbo?
@@KachiAmobi by breaking up the word 'akatamgbugbo' to aka ata mgbugbo. Aka ata means incomparable or unquantifiable while mgbugbo means protection. Hence, Akatamgbugbo means incomparable or unquantifiable protection. So Ezechitoke Abiama Akatamgbugbo means God the unquantifiable protection of Abiama.
Okay. Noted.
Nice work same thing i was telling a friend he assumed it to mean Abia Amara
Thanks. We know it can't be abia amara
Wow! I happen to come from Oba Nsukka, just next town to the University. With the recent popularity of the phrase "Chukwu Abiama" among Igbo people, I have been wondering why most elderly people in my lineage would pray and say "Ezechite Oke Abiama Ura". I was thinking the "ura" comes from the Nsukka word which means to "persuade". You don't force a stubborn toddler, you persuade him. A na ara nwatakiri ura.
Thanks for the info. there are so many Nsukka words and traditions that I am looking for the meaning in the context of the wider Igbo languages. i wonder how to contact you, and get your phone number. Please let me know if possible.
It's usually exciting to learn new knowledge about one's identity.
Share the words and traditions, you never know, they may come up in research 😀
