For anyone needing clarification regarding the ‘more free cells = more moves’ tip he refers to:
The formula for the number of properly ordered cards that can be moved in any turn is:
(a+1) * 2^{b}
Where a is the number of free cells at the start of the turn and b is the number of empty columns at the end of the turn.

Would you please redo with the following changes? 1. Eliminate all the "ah's", they are biggity buggy. 2. After drawing 1 line make the move, then draw the next line and make that move. The illustrations look like a confused football plan.

He's teaching you to think several moves ahead. So if he had made each move as he explained them, it wouldn't help teach you that skill as well.
