And one of the dumbest.. 99% of people can’t just wake up tomorrow and stop working a regular job. That 1% that do try, the majority will fail. The world revolves around business available at 9am-5pm, and not everyone can afford to just change their life on the spot. It’s not about just committing or working hard (because that defeats the whole purpose anyways)!

I know there is a stigma around the "9-5" work life. But what people have to know is that not everyone wants to freelance or start a business. There are people that stay years at their jobs because they genuinely like their job and the people. Also, some people like 9-5 jobs because they get to go home at the end of the day and spend some time with family and friends or do a hobby. I have friends that truly enjoy their jobs and do not want to start their own business. Because lets face, starting your own business means working more than 8 hours. The good side is that it is an investment into yourself but not everyone wants to work 12+ hours a day. So I think it sucks that people really shit on 9-5 jobs. Because some of the most impactful jobs in the world are 9-5 . Love your content tho 😁

I absolutely agree and what people actually get wrong is that if they don't love their job they "have to" become a freelancer or entrepreneur, which is bonkers.
I actually have this discussion quite often, where i tell people that they should just switch the company they are working for if they don't like to work there. Or do something else, if you don't like the job you are in. But they actually get somehow offended by my blasphemy. From my point of view 99.9% of people who don't like the job or company they are stuck in are trapping themselves into a situation they don't have to be in. Nobody is forcing you to voluntarily sign a contract and stick to it without the option of quitting ... Apply somehwere else and see where it goes, learn new shit. There is a bunch of people watching YT videos on how to code in Java and actually get job offers from that or just do a Google Certificate for Data Analysis and start applying. It's not like you have to quit right now, but thinking you can't quit for some artificial reason is basically intellectual suicide.
Keep up the good work man, really appreciate your channel although i am fairly new.

If you're smart enough, have a great idea and have enough capital to start your business, do it. Hold on to the job until your side business earns you more. Then leave the job and use that time to expand your business. I have diabetes. My job as a driver for an electricity distribution company pays well. However, I'm cooking in the Caribbean heat driving those old ass trucks with no A/C for up to 16 hours a day sometimes. My feet that the doctor said should not be in steel tips all day have no choice but to be in there. The guys I work with are robots and slaves. All they know and talk about is work and about others on the job. Not about family, traveling, God, life, nothing but the stupid job all day nonstop and that frightens me a bit. Its creepy how they worship the job above all else. I dont wanna be like that. I remain quiet and just drive the truck. In my mind I'm plotting my next move. They're obsessed with overtime. Theu prefer overtime than to spend time with their family. I dont have a family and still rather spend time by myself, moreover when I find a new girlfriend. I love spending time with someone Im in love with and no overtime is worth that. I declined a bunch of overtime to be with my ex and i have absolutely no regrets. The memories were worth it. I have a gym membership I barely get to use. Barely spend time working on myself. I'm in the house just to sleep and leave again. As soon as I hint to my few friends on work about opening up a side gig, I hear all kinda foolery about how it not gonna work and that doing overtime is better. They themselves are not motivated to do anything for themselves. All I hear is their fear to leave the salary and their jealousy of the idea of someone possibly leaving and earning more money with more freedom. We're kids on the job. "Yes boss. No sir. Can have a day off please?" I hate that. I put them in their place when they speak to me funny. It's my right. I'm a grown man. Have manners when speaking to me Ms. Boss bich. I'm not your son. Many of my superiors are stupider than I am. I mean they're nobody except robots for the job and a huge ego. They worship it like a God. I'm starting a facilties management company on the side. A few contracts with my brilliant idea is gonna earn me way more money than my prestigious and coveted electricity distributor job. As soon as it takes off I'm gone. My pal in work has an associates in business management but came here to be a damn labourer. And he of all people is always encouraging me to just settle down with the job. However, he himself is always complaining about the job and our colleagues. He has the associates but whenever I ask him if he has idea business ideas for himself he say the most stupid, unprofitable things that are indeed just side hustles and not something that can make him rich and free long term. In his voice, I hear that he doesnt wanna be free. I just look at him and say nothing. Everyone is not meant to have business and become rich. Even for my own business. I need people who is less fortunate and less intelligent than I am to come and work for a little above minimum wage at my company. Nature has designed the system to have masters and servants even without slavery. When you are a master you know it and should go for your dream. Life is short. Take the chance to enjoy the best fruits of fortune. Work hard at it and prosper and remove yourself from the bandage of another master. If you have a servant mentality, you love the your job that takes care of you and can't imagine nothing better, then stay there. It's where you belong.

First time businesses fail at a catastrophic rate and if you're not built for that, it can break you on many levels. And generally, you're definitely putting in more time than the money you draw out of it.

I will be just like you scared to accomplish my dreams. I don't need no negative people saying that starting a business is not for everyone. I need positive energy, this is the reason why I am not starting my other small business with my best friend who I have known since 1995 now I know that's a long time but I will start this small business all by myself because she will be just like you negative. I don't want to be starting a business with someone who is thinking negative because her energy could be bad. Don't get me wrong I love my best friend she's like a sister to me, but how do I know if she has the same mindset as me? If she really wanted to be an entrepreneur she would be one already and not be living off of welfare and there's nothing wrong with welfare because my mom was on that back in the 1970s and 1990s so I am not bashing anyone who's on welfare what I am saying is I can't ask her if she would like to be my business partner because she doesn't want to own. Just because you don't want to start a business don't mean you should try to talk someone else out of doing it. And this is why I am not telling no one else my plans because you don't know what kind of energy they have on them, all energy is not good energy some people could have bad energy on them and I am not calling you a bad person but you could be carrying bad energy.

    1) Having kids unprepared, in an unplanned manner, way too young… or simply not thinking it through and not being in a good place financially in life before taking the decision. Then you’ve got no choice but to stick to something safe like a 9-5 in order to provide for them and so your family survives. People underestimate the time necessary to take care of young children, and there is often no room to take classes or learn new useful skills intensively, while working and parenting. It can take up to 8~10 years for you to be able to be more free with your time again and get back on track into developing your life anew and succeeding long lost dreams… since you have to spend the first 8 years of a kids life devoting yourself to them, else you are neglectful, will mess up the child forever and they will hate you for the rest of their lives. It’s one of life’s biggest responsibilities, yet too many people don’t wait until they are in a good place financially and mentally before jumping in an 17~18 year commitment, it’s crazy.
    2) Health issues, sudden illness, etc. Some people get cancer, some discover a cardiovascular weakness which means they have to take it easier than most, some have chronic degenerative stuff like Stephen Hawking suddenly did, or lung problems, etc. There are health issues which can be prevented, like by not smoking, not drinking too much alcohol, etc. But some stuff happens out of the blue, to a minority of people of course, but it does happen. Those people cannot be blamed for wanting to hold on to a 9 - 5 or a safe job with recurrent health benefits, as they could easily worsen and die young if they don’t play it safe for some years, or at least until their health gets better (if it does).
If you’re truly healthy and without children, without any huge responsibility or life event that ties you down, then of course I 100% agree with the advice in your video. Save up on the side and find a way to become more financially free and independent, have free time, be able to travel and work from where you want, etc. Count yourself lucky if you have no kids and no chronic health issues while young in your 20s. And use that precious time to develop and learn useful, lucrative skills in tech, business, medicine, engineering, or whatever is truly in demand today. You won’t regret it.

Unfortunately most of us HAVE to work 9-5 jobs. Unlike freelancing 9-5s are a reliable source of consistent income from the day you begin working and that's going to give most people peace of mind.
There's no worrying about "what if I don't make enough money this month for rent?" or "What if I don't get many clients?". There's no concern of that with a 9-5 job. I agree that I wouldn't want to work one if I didn't have to but it's the most reliable source of income there is at the moment and reliability and consistency is what matters to most people.

No they don't. They choose to work because other opportunities presented to them require getting outside of their comfort zone and growing as a person mentally, physically, and spiritually. The majority aren't willing to do that because of opinions they see and believe given by unqualified people. They are scared of what other people say and think of them going outside of the norm, which is why most will always work for someone else.

Keep in mind when you start 9-5 someone planned that spot and you just fell in to it, it's a blessing for a planner and a lesson for doer. So always have a plan for yourself why you do everything. You have to reach a planning position and need capital and skills to collect blessings, until then you'll collect lessons. Also lots of people are born with attention deficit that's never spotted and corrected, if you struggle to complete simple tasks you have to find a way to sort it before you can advance in life or you will be stuck at doing simple things under other people instructions all your career.

All the things can be said about being an entrepreneur (sort of*)
    1. You will always be trading time for money, unless you have your money invested in a stock market. Difference being that self employment has the chance to return money exponentially. However there are jobs like sales where u can get the same result
    2. Many entrepreneurs are dependent on one source of income (Their business) because when you chance multiple sources of income, your income has the potential to be diluted. For example you can practice many sports but if you focused on basketball alone you’ll be way better at basketball than you are at any of the sports you worked on.
    3. People act like entrepreneurs can go out and take breaks when ironically owning your own business gives you the least amount of time to take a break. You’re responsible for the business at the end of the day and you’ll be stuck dealing with more problems that you wouldn’t have to as an employee.
    4. You can simply work a “9-5” because you like the convenience that a job provides. (Health care, PTO, fixed hours, guaranteed paid, worker’s compensation, someone else taking care of taxes and paperwork, etc…). Or the lifestyle it provides can help sustain other aspects and hobbies in your life. The reason I posted this long comment is to raise awareness on this false hustle culture that makes people think that they need to start a business when they probably don’t want to.

I run a business and love it, but I disagree. The responsibility, risk, time commitment, and skill building are not things that most people want to take on. Sure, the money is great when you’re a business owner, but many people would rather clock into their 9-5, make enough money to get by, and live for the weekends. People like this should not start a business; they’ll burn out immediately and/or tank the business with their lack of caring.

Working for yourself oftentimes is more demanding than having the luxury of a 9-5 where you aren't responsible for the health of the company. Think about it. @berriesrus7143 How doesn't it? The cashier clocks out and goes on with their day. The manager reports to the corporate office and has to set the schedule, deal with worker issues, ensure product deliveries and stock levels. Does that sound like an easy job? Now, the CEO, on the other hand, is responsible for establishing, maintaining and expanding relationships. That means, he has to find customers for the company's products. He has to find and secure contracts for services. He is responsible for contracts being fulfilled satisfactorily. He's responsible for proper equipment being available for whatever task is required by employees. All of that is credit rating. The relationships he has with creditors and investors will determine the financial assets at his disposal. In other words, he has to keep his reputation pristine at all times to avoid any scandal that may eff up the business. Does that sound like a comfy job to you while the cashier is getting high and drunk at a party?

But the Benefits was where it was at. Dental, medical, Vision…etc. Coverage for the wife and both kids. Paying for this level of benefits separately would cost way too high than most side hustles can afford. I didn’t mind the work but I didn’t love it. and my manager was pretty flexible. And you think those people are “free?” No, they work their assess off for years, way more than 9-5ers, and sometimes don’t even cut themselves a salary for years. Even TH-cam creators have to work many hours recording and editing and have their own deadlines to upload for their audience. You call that “free”? We are all bound by capitalism.
No one person on TH-cam can coach you. And what this video ignores is that there are people working 9-5 at ISPs that make your access to this video and his ability to upload it possible. And guess what? Many, many 9-5 workers out-earn this dude right here. So don’t let the fact that you have a 9-5 job get to you. This guy earns money by you watching his videos- this isn’t some altruistic endeavor to earn YOU money. Remember that point; no one is EVER out to earn YOU money. If you are underpaid at work, find a new a job that pays more. And if you hate your work, try a new field. But the blanket answer here isn’t going to help most people.

    I disagree.
1.9-5 doesn't limit you to have only 1 source of income
    2. Freelance doesn't give you freedom (maybe only false 'freedom' feeling)

    • @Stefanovic92
      @Stefanovic92  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1. It doesn’t limit you, but it’s way harder to work on side hustles while going to the gym, spending time with friends and family, hobbies etc.. when you have to work 40 hours a week + commute. When you have your own business/product: you build once, you sell twice..
      2. Yes it does. I had the freedom to work from wherever I want, to work 4 days per week instead of 5 and now I have the freedom to travel the world
Besides that, freelancing is just a stepping stone to starting a business. It’s not the end goal

      Hi @@Stefanovic92 ,
      1. I partially agree with that :) But that depends on where you are in your freelance career. Once you are well established as a Freelancer then, yeah it is easier to do a side hustle.
      2. Like with everything... it all depends on our life situation. I'm full-time Data Analyst 9-5 , and I can work from wherever I want as well, but as someone who is expecting a baby (:)) 9-5 gives me more security( I'm aware that this might be a false assumption).
In general, I think there is no 1 rule that works for all.

9-5 will limit ur income honestly unless u do overtime which makes it worse, u better off doing 9-5 to make money and later invest in whatever u can turn into a business or invest in assets

After working on 2nd for so long, I have been at an 8:30-5:30 for 9 months and I hate it. I barely have time to spend with my son and most nights after, I don't have the energy to cook or clean. On 2nd, I always had the energy to cook healthy meals and to prep properly. Now I don't. I want to go back to 2nd.

I expected another reason. I agree w/ the first. The second isn't a reason lol. It's too vague. I'll add a third saying to simply save $. Lots of $. Unless you have a ton of debt or ongoing bills. Then that doesn't matter.
