I been watching Mr. Chickadee's channel for around 4~5 years, so I chose to watch this with the sound off! A man's gotta have at least one tradition. If I ever attend his class, I plan to wear multiple ear-plugs.
I’m always amazed at how people upload wood working videos and have head banging “music” attached and expect you to enjoy that, so it’s great watch Mr Chickadee without nonsense.
I quit watching TV pretty much years ago. I discovered Mr Chickadee a few months ago. It isn’t an insult when I say that I watch their vids and learn a lot but I do it as my last watch for the night. My PTSD brain sleeps a lot better. Which means more to me than I can ever express.
Thanks for getting Josh to do this interview...Folks out in the world wanting to learn these traditional arts are well served by folks like you and Josh! Many thanks Chris!

Josh is exemplary but rare. His virtues are so numerous I can't recall all their names. Therein lies the problem. He can never be a model to aspire emulation because almost none of the rest of us are capable of his achievements. Don't take these comments as criticism of him. Each time I watch him work my entire being wants to spring into action, grab a tool, then get to work. So here is my suggestion: find a way to support him in his work, Whatever... just do it. What you will be doing is providing one of those rare superstars of humanity the means to demonstrate just how magnificent one human being can be. This is not a joke, folks, this man is the real deal. Do it.
Hi Chris, I found Mr. Chickadee a long time ago and have enjoyed his channel very much, So much indeed that until you pointed it out I had not even noticed that he did not speak in the videos, there is so much information in his videos that he doesn't need to speak, they are mesmerizing.
Thanks, Chris for taking the time to do this and convincing Josh to be interviewed. Your and his craftsmanship delight those of us who watch regularly. Can't wait to see your video on restoring that saw and Josh's work on the smithy.
Thank you for doing this interview! I have remained fascinated by this man and his apparent love of hand tool work and the written word. This segment answered many questions that I have pondered over the years, and Josh's story definitely does not disappoint. I believe we are witnessing a modern-day Dick Proeneeke.
Wow how time flies. I've been watching Mr. Chickadee from the very first building. I never knew Josh was not full of knowledge before he started this channel. Thank you for sharing and being such an inspiration for all of us but most importantly our children. There are not a lot of channels I click on when I see a new one has been posted but Mr. Chickadee doesn't sit on the shelf so to speak, I make time to watch it.
Thanks Chris for this video! I started watching Mr. Chickadee very early in his channel and have watched every video. Hearing him speak about his life really filled in the blanks for me.
This is the most interesting individual I have seen online he has so many different gifts you know I haven't seen this kind of stuff since I left Chattanooga Tennessee there's a lot of people with old Tools around there and you get up into the mountains around Kentucky you see a lot of stuff like that Tennessee is just full of this stuff it's amazing what he's done...

IKR? I don't know if him smiling was nice or scary, not used to seeing that from him. He is always so serious in his videos.
