It's been said so many times on this show that cheaper Burgundy leaves you wanting more and finally we have a baller 1er cru that hits!

Love the content guys, especially the Blind Wine Reviews. Great down to earth reviews that your average joe can understand and relate to. I love my reds but any ideas on new white varieties that I can cellar for a few (5 to 10+) years. I currently have some Semillon / Chardonnay / Marsanne but don’t have much knowledge of some of the older overseas white varieties being reviewed which I am seeing more and more frequently on the bottle shop shelves and at wineries. Great Channel !!

Hey hey! Thanks for the kind words! We love hearing when people are interested in cellaring their white wines! First variety that i'd be looking at is Riesling! Famed for their ability to mature, they'll reward cellaring very well. We've seen similar results from high-acid examples of Fiano too. I'd also be searching for Chenin Blanc along with Muscadet for mid-term cellaring. Also worth noting Vinho Verde from Portugal, and White Rioja too!

Looks like an epic lineup, who is picking these! Also so intrigued by that muscadet, what was going on there, gonna have to try one.

The basic Weil Riesling costs $62? In Germany their cru (GG) costs less then that. Crazy prices down under for imported wines.

It's sad times for us Aussies who love German Riesling ;(

I was also a bit surprised at first. In Germany and many parts of Europe German Riesling offers really good value around the price spectrum. You have very affordable, clean, easy drinking wines and for the level of quality that some crus offer they are not that expensive either.

That's probably the reason why they don't hit Australian shores...they're all consumed within Germany or broader Europe!
