@@jayasuriyas2604 It's a charity. The Japanese Government is paying 80% of the cost and they will not get anything in return for 15 years after completion. And after 15 years, they are asking for the same amount of money which they have invested in now. By taking inflation into account, the Japanese government will get back only 25% of the money they are putting in this project. The only clause with it is to buy trains from Hitachi or kawasaki . Japanese companies want to enter indian rail manufacturing. It's a huge market. Right now , It is dominated by Alstom , CRRC , BEML and Bombardier.
We should have planned it for 30-40 years because our country is growing at a rapid pace by 2035-40 likely we will need to upgrade stations and add more tracks to handle heavy traffic in future. Currently only 4 platforms are being built with capacity to station 4 trains. We should slowly make plans for grand stations with 10 trains capable of being stationed as well as minimum 4 tracks for future purposes.

Right now BJP is building projects from 2004 because when congress was in power it wasn’t doing crap. Bullet trains are solid they will make business grow extremely fast in India specially between those routes but let’s see what happens.
@@goofy9448 do you know? an average bullet train ticket cost around 48k to 50k rupees.poor and middle class can't afford it so it's a loss project from the start peaple will choose simple train over this. Eventually it'll goes in loss.hence this project is a failure from the start

At least we re learning something new, building infrastructure, that’s better than nothing. Also if they knew the people couldn’t afford it at all they would’ve never started it. I’m sure they checked everything before investing 10B or so dollars in the project.
