Bullet train stations's designs are outdated,older type

Having bullet trains is a great thing. But maintenance and operation is gonna be a huge challenge and is expensive too, especially when the trains draw a huge amount of power, and the train parts undergo wear and tear when travelling at a high speed for which it requires robust and efficient maintenance. I wonder if HSR could cover the costs because only a few rich people could afford to travel in that train.

In India, there are mostly poor people who use trains, and rich or middle-class people who use planes. I don’t see why bullet trains are even needed. They make sense in countries like Japan, which are densely populated and where most people are upper middle class. But in India, where most people are either very poor or rich and middle class, a bullet train won’t be useful for anyone. India is not going to be like Japan anytime soon. This will just become another wasteful project, built to please people in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Politicians will make a lot of money from it, but the general population won’t benefit or be able to afford it. It will just be another “white elephant” project.
