Just want to say I really appreciate how much you showed about how Swordsoul is played with certain cards available and not available. It really helped gain an understanding of what works well with the deck as well as start visualizing what I might want to use before even seeing the master duel deck lists. Thank you, I’ve been looking for a synchro deck to make and I think this is gonna be the one!
Happy to see Master Duel is getting tons of updates across the board! Fingers crossed that we catch up to the other formats so we can eventually get sets around the same time

@@griffin6738 exactly. The thing is master duel is a bit charming not being exactly like the irl card game. Still people want this simulator to be exactly that a better simulator than we already have.
My biggest reason for playing ancient warriors was the art, made it to platinum 3 sword soul art is definitely number 1 reason for playing them, but then being better than ancient warriors helps to 😂

@@imAgentR yugioh players will complain all the time. Melee smash never got an update in 22 years and the meta still evolves. Yugioh players dont want to improve. They want an easy deck to exploit for free wins and complains when they lose

I have been hyped for DPE to come since the end of the first week of this game. Super excited for this update and I can't wait to watch Dkayed on Twitch wrecking Fools.
I've been running Tenyi pretty much since I *started* playing Master Duel, and I always felt a little annoyed people acted like Tenyi could *only* be good once Swordsoul was out. Yeah, it's not Tier 1 or anything, but Tenyi is still plenty good with what we already had. I didn't even see much of it in the N/R Festival, even though I was *dominating* Megalith and Metalfoes decks the whole time with them. It got even better once Baronne was in the game and you could use the Halq/Denglong combo you mentioned. Still, I'm glad people will finally be giving my wuxia ghost dragon bois their dues, and I'm 100% going to be blowing all my Gems on Swordsoul pulls for the next while.
I wanna make sword soul but I am a big fan of midrange decks like Orcust and salamangreat so I'm not sure which archetype matches that from the new set so I will be looking around for sure!
I think to build a deck nowadays I use my pre-existing knowledge of the deck (if I have it) or previous decks I've made to start...then I check deck profiles for cards I've not heard of/refused to used due to stubborness and add them in to fill out the deck if I don't get 40 cards...if I don't have pre-existing knowledge first I try and gauge the usefulness of a card via it's effect (although I read a few cards before making final judgements) and build the beginnings of a deck before before again checking deck profiles, because the way I view deck profiles is, they aren't there for you to copy, they're there for the creator to show off the deck that's been built or the yugituber to show off a deck that's been built and showing what's worked for them, you shouldn't copy it card for card...you should use it as like a deck mold if that makes sense....an example is stevie blunder....while I've personally found two of his decklists (virtual worlds which is my fave and swordsoul) to be iffy, his swordsoul profile showed me a card I wouldn't have found otherwise so I added that to an almost complete build, this video reminded me of protos so I added that to the deck, I don't think the clickbait videos only get clicks from more competitive best deck builders, but also for those looking for inspiration for a deck..though it is interesting to see the analytics here.
Swordsoul was literally the deck I was going to make when I started playing Master Duel... then came to the sad realizatiom that building that deck was impossible, great to have a chance to build it now
Very informative video. I'm switching from Tri-Brigade-Zoodiac-DPE to Swordsoul Tenyi in Master Duel. DPE is a great counter to Tri-Brigade in my experience and it doesn't do well with Bearbrumm because you can't get TB Revolt and DPE in the same turn basically. Swordsoul looks less clunky to play and that alone would be a reason to switch if it's as good as TB.
Happy update day! I'm almost ready for swordsoul coming into MD. I'd build beforehand Tenyi Rose dragons so I have a baseline for completing it with swordsoul cards, but I also pulled a Royal Sunlight Wolf and I kinda like Salad so all saved gems were spent on this. Down to 2k and a dream. It's almost time to craft Verte and DPE and jam them in every other deck possible.
I had no idea what swordsoul did before this video, but they seem so fun! I love Synchro mechanics and they have like a free reverse doppelwarrior token on them, this is so EXCITING! Thanks for showing this off, Dkayed!

Just recently made my first deck by myself and it’s pure vampires and while it may not be the most successful deck at winning it definitely is fun when it works but now I’m looking for something a little bit more success at winning and swordsouls would definitely be it
I am free to play MD and I really only have 4 competitive decks. I have been saving my gems and have a little over 10k. Also, with the 2nd gold pass, I have enough UR tickets for handtraps. I'm torn between getting this deck, dystopia, or a dino deck.
Sad to see Iris Swordsoul not in any of these lists since I pulled 3 of them but these are all very helpful to use as a reference!. Finally some good updates to the game, I have been playing Drytron 4 months in a row, after not playing YGO for the longest time and having to catch up to all the new decks.

This is a great basis to start from, will follow the Master Duel meta updates with interest. That said, part of me is now super interested in what they ran in Virtua World at the time. Seeing it was so big also in the meta.
Would love to try this deck. Been kinda bored with game playing with the same decks since meta has not changed since s1 and battling same meta decks but worst of all is waiting for adamancipators for 20mins 😑.
Honestly I'm excited for both sets because I want to make a swordsoul deck just to see what it's about and I already have my destiny hero deck because I've been waiting for enforcer and I don't want to use anaconda for him and my albaz deck is ready for the rest of his fusions in the other set
