In this video, we listed 10 interesting facts.
The RD350 is a two-stroke motorcycle produced by Yamaha from 1973 to 1975. It evolved directly from the piston port (pre-reed valve intake tract), front drum-braked, five-speed Yamaha 350 cc "R5".
A licensed version of the RD350B was assembled in India between 1983-1990 by the Escorts group under the brand name Rajdoot 350. It did not repeat the success of the RD350B in the Indian market, which some attribute to a high purchase price and poor fuel efficiency. However, it established Rajdoot/Yamaha as a performance bike manufacturer in India. There were two models for the Rajdoot 350 - High Torque and Low Torque. Compared to the Yamaha RD350B that made 39 bhp (29 kW) at the crankshaft, the 'High Torque' version made 30.5 bhp (22.7 kW) and the later 'Low Torque' made only 27 bhp (20 kW), the engine is detuned in the quest for better fuel economy. By the time the production ended in 1990, the bike was nearly 100% sourced in India, with very little Japanese parts content.

because its a 2 stroke and the performance of 2 stroke is amazing but 2 strokes are banned and even if Yamaha relaunches it but with a 4 stroke,it wont be the same😅
We already have XSR series in yamaha....but yamaha india isnt interested to launch here

1990 rd 350 aur 1987 rd350. 2 bikes. Bith i bought 2nd hand. During my college and when i started working. Today both are in full stock and mint condition. I also have 2 engines and 2 bikes without engine which i am keeping as parts for my bike. I service it myself and i do not let anyone ride it. But the look of those kiddos who loose to me on the road with their plastic 4 stroke ktms hahaha. I scare them with just my throttle alone.

Rd 350 u might hv not seen also it's 83 bike it was a powerful machin fr Indian roads beautiful double cylindr with gd firing no any other bike could bit it but averagr was less than 20.petrol was 7 rs ltr.35009 cost in 1985.

HT - High torque was made in Japan models and LT - Low torque was made in India models, there was RD 400 also and RD stands of Racing derived or Race derived.
High torque in india was the 30.50 bhp model...low torque was a 26 bhp model brought for increased mileage

I still remembers my elder brother and his friends saying that some indian gangs, the gundas were using rajdoot 350 as a get away vehicles after doing some crimes and the yamaha rajdoot 350 was so fast that the police could not catch any of them by running after them in their jeep. So, in retaliation, the Indian govt ordered the company to stop the production of rajdoot 350. That was the reason why yamaha stop producing the phenomenal Rajdoot 350. I don't know wether this story is true or not. But if you look back on the times when RD 350 production was stop, it was the times the gundas wreaked havoc in many cities in India. Rajdoot 350 is a Legend.

I grew up as a 17 year old riding this beast in India, had a near death accident, survived, and then renowned second RD350, then I had to leave India, sell my beloved bike.... Years later, I bought one recently, after looking for one for years in Australia. A 1973 350A, it brings memories back within the power band 😆.... It zips, strip's and just tears the streets apart!!! You are right about 'at any cost' as I think I stopped counting at $10k on upgrades and restoration alone, cost of purchase, future plans... hahahah o don't know even another $10k not enough for the 'Giant Killer'
