The recruitment potential for so many different species of rockfish is amazing. Great video, even better navigation of that cam system over those rocks!
Awesome. Yeah man, see what your saying about the 2 lings. I think the colour difference between the 2 could be male and female, which could explain the weird behaviour between the 2, if the male had already begun staking out his territory.
@@jacobpatterson1628 The ones with a black spot on them are Half Banded Rock Fish, and the other small ones are mostly juvenile rockfish of different types.
I wish there were more videos like this one showing what’s actually going on down there which is something I’ve definitely always been curious about.

cool how the lings kinda just chill there at the bottom
What was used to film this? ROV? What kind? What kind of camera? Would love to know more details. Amazing video!
This was filmed with a towed camera rig. It has a lot of light, GoPro cameras, and some live video feeds to the boat for navigation.
Could you do a video on the rig you used for this video? Great job man.
Amazing video, how deep did you have to go to record it?
About 300' at this spot.
Also , those small white baitfish...what species are they?
They’re minnows right?

They are used to measure things, the dots are 8" apart in this video.
