THANK YOU! People do sell packs for things like this and that can be a great resource. It I often end up making my own accents per client and then just making them a thousand times. About six months ago I searched and searched how to make my own presets and there was nothing useful. I am SO GLAD you did this. I’ll be spending a weekend day making presets. Finally!! Thank you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
OMG! Hold up! You just changed my world! I work for a company with a very defined brand style, and I animate a lot of videos using our large icon set. I have all the icons in separate Ai files that I pull in through Animation Composer. Then if I want to fiddle with it, I convert the icon to a shape layer and tinker. Also, since different series of videos have either blue or white backgrounds, I have two icons in colors for each background. Due to my workload, I don't always do as much as I could in terms of animating the individual icons. I watched this video earlier this week, and yesterday I had an epiphany... I can convert each icon to a shape layer with groups! Once I had an icon set up, I started pulling in color controls for each element. Then I realized I only needed three color controls main, accent, and background. I linked each group to the appropriate controls, and now I can load one icon and quickly switch to the colors I need! Some icons are the same with minor variations, so for those I added groups for all variations in one shape layer and used the opacity on/off idea you shared. Finally, I'm giving each icon a bit of animation, so that each time I pull one in, they already have a bit of flair! Thank you so much for helping me take things to the next level while saving scads of time!
