You have got yourself a winner there. Really nicely done: a good mix of the old with the new. And the new stuff is not just thrown in gratuitously for its own sake -- it all has relevance and meaning. Keep up the music - Bravo!
Ok too fast for me to keep up with! But its one of my favorite tunes and I like how you played it.!! True to tradition makes it even better. You dont need me telling you what a great job!! I guess I'll call myself a fan of Noam.
It sounds Fukkin Awesome. Preston Postle, the commentor below, has a great idea. For the dance remix, you could play it how the R2-D2 Kenny Baker would interpret it, basically layer upon layer of bleeps and whistles over the top of what you've already recorded. Or has Skrillex done that? So then it's Kenny Baker plays Noam Pikelny plays Kenny Baker plays Bill Monroe. This joke will never get old, by the way. And, predictably, there's the Muppet Show trumpet/flugelhorn player Kenny Baker. Yes!
Daaaaamn! right when I'm thinking, "yeah I'll probably actually purchase this album when it comes out for once" Sutton's solo starts -oh that guys over there!?- and it turns to "where's that dudes studio in Tennessee? I'm gonna take a little break here from work in Boston go down there and steal the reels" Can't get it fast enough.
Just incredible.
Brilliant idea - genius execution! And Gabe great job producing!
NICE! I was temporarily confused because I thought Kenny Baker was the guy inside R2-D2, but now I get it.
