An underrated moment of this episode is C-3PO’s appearance. Being one of my childhood favorite characters seeing him return after so long brings me joy. We technically haven’t seen him since Rise of Skywalker.

Yes, it was a bit of gratuitous fan service (what isn't these days), but I also feel that it was justified in the plot. Somebody had to shut that idiot up and at this point in the timeline, nobody... absolutely nobody... would have the balls to oppose the one and only Leia Organa. Having C-3PO stand in as her proxy was a nice touch.

However, a Deus Ex Machina in the form of C3PO magically appearing delivering a "Leia said it was okay" message was terrible writing for me.

Do you think he kept making them after years of practical missions together? He made them when she was still young and inexperienced and yes that was the last one before becoming Vader cause anything else was taught during the series.
Deadass, thanks to this episode, I've been enjoying Ahsoka in the second half more than the first. Awesome cameos by C-3PO & hologram Anakin, and an even awesome reunion between Ahsoka and Ezra. Also, the fight sequences this episode (and series) have incredible. The rematch between Baylan and Ahsoka was brief, but memorable. Baylan and Shin are such mysteries, it's crazy. Much, much better than the previous episode. Can't wait for the finale!

Senator Hamato Xiono (father of Kazuda "Kaz" Xiono) is incredibly ignorant 🙄😒, perhaps the Hosnian Massacre (the destruction of the entire Hosnian System including his homeworld of Hosnian Prime, because of the First Order's Starkiller Base), that he and the rest of his family thankfully were off world during, finally opened his eyes, maybe Thrawn's return will have a similar but smaller effect 🤔😓.
I really enjoyed this episode, but it's a shame that we didn't get to see Leia appear via hologram and Ezra wielding his lightsaber again. At least we finally got to hear Asajj Ventress get mentioned in live-action.
From what I understand of the Legends continuity, on returning Thrawn pulled off a series of simply beautiful operations against the Republic and increased his fleet. Not just Type-1 Star Destroyers, but plenty of other vessels necessary to make up a combined battle fleet. The 'scattered imperial remnants' d*ckless thinks he knows about started joining up with Thrawn and they bring with them serious-level military supplies. Not to mention, being in contact with the First-Order and Thrawn re-establishes contact with the Chiss Ascendancy, his own people and begins sharing technology. And that happens in his first MONTH back! The new Republic doesn't have a fu*king clue about any of this. They're fleet is half a dozen ships and we just saw the biggest of them get bumped aside by space whales. Imagine one of those nice shiny rounded cruisers going up against the fully functional Star Destroyer? It won't be heroes save the day moment. It'll be a massacre. I'm a villain fan, people! The first time I saw Vader, I turned to my dad and said, 'at last, asthmatics have a villain!' I have never seen anybody send a mouthful of coke that far! I'd love to see a series were Vader was at full power, out killing Jedi, trying to hide secret projects from the Emperor. What he did in his down time. But if I can't have that, I want Thrawn kicking Republic ar*e! I want a real villain! One who is actually capable of doing what he sets out to do. Who understands the hero mentality and can turn it to his advantage.
Live action cartoons don't work. This is a live action Rebels, which is why it's going to be just another forgotten Disney-SW show. Why can't we get some more quality content like Andor?
No emotional weight to a lot of this series, old feelings from rebels I bet but I didn’t watch it. More investing seeing these SW fans react. Hopefully the writers see these vids and take notes for better beats.
