The hilarious part is, the art designer for that (Who was also the designer for NiGHTs and Sonic for the record, Naoto Ohshima) has worked on Mario spinoffs before, but they were both Yoshi games!
More specifically, Yoshi Topsy Turvy and Yoshi's Island DS. In the former especially, you can really see the NiGHTS/Balan vibes there.

Your overall enjoyment of this game largely depends on your stance on Just-For-Fun type games. This is very friendly to casual gamers and younger audiences and probably wouldn't do much for anyone who needs a lot of challenges and in depth lore to really enjoy a game.

If I can be honest, I think Nintendo didn't recognize who their main audience is for this game. I don't say that just in a "ooh Peach is hot" way, I mean the adults of today who have grown up with Mario for so long, and really wanted a game like this. Obviously, people like Jacob Alpharad are a good example. If the game was at least slightly made for the demographic over 10 years old, I definitely think people would be snapping it up instantly. It's an issue similar to what Yoshi's Crafted World had, compared to Wooly World.
I mean being real nintendo probably just said "well peach is a girl so we're gonna make it for super young girls to get them interested", and then just threw a bunch of shit at the wall.
It's not the worst idea, but it also means the game is just a massive identity crisis with no real substance other than just "peach has a game now". I mean super princess peach revolving around the woman character having massive mood swings was uh... Questionable, but damn the game actually looks pretty fun cause it has a clear focus.

I'm gonna be honest with you guys. 8:02 got me audibly saying this:
"It honestly is pretty easy, but only if you aren't a completionist." I say that because 100%ing this game can be surprisingly difficult.
Some of those collectibles and those level challenges are pretty annoying yeah
As someone who basically got 99% completion, the only things I'd say are REALLY hard and weren't worth my time were the Mighty Rehersal gold medal and the third gem from the cookie section of Pastierre-2
The level of perfection they demand from you feels absurd imo
to be honest I would be more motivated to collect these if they at least added a skip button for those cutscreens

Fun fact: The same devs of this made Wario Land Shake It for the Wii, which was the only appearance of Captain Syrup after Wario Land 2. Therefore, there is a nonzero chance of Captain Syrup appearing if they make a Princess Peach Showtime 2 (As they should!)
Also, my ideal costumes for a sequel would include puppeteer (With Peach holding a not-Muppet of herself) and kaiju. Also, while it'll never happen, it would be hilarious if they did a Titus Andronicus level with Patisserie Peach.
It's weird that Peach's head is completely flat without the crown.
Honestly this game was a lot more fun than I expected. I was amazed and enjoyed myself despite it not being for me. Major props to Good Feel, they never truly miss 💖

100% loving the outro theme change. Hopes and Dreams is great and all obviously but the Mario Galaxy theme is so much more "you" - while still sounding great!

This game was kind of disappointing for me. Not that it was a horrible game or anything I was just hoping for more, like an actual sequel to super princess peach or at the very least a game that all ages can enjoy. This was definitely made for little kids so that could have contributed to my lack of fun with it.
