Awesome bronze watch. Glad you are on the road to recovery. Thanks for sharing your experience with the cancer as there are many men out there that think it can’t happen to them.
@@MyRetroWatches I was recently diagnosed with it as well. Mine is not aggressive now so they are just watching it. My PSA was normal and the doctor discovered it because of an abnormal prostate exam and later biopsy. My dad died from prostate cancer, my grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather had it as well. So I guess I was going to get it eventually. So if anyone reads this and is over 60 get an exam as well as a PSA test.
@@theQdomain sorry to hear that. Hopefully it won’t change for you. I was PSA 7.1 Gleason 7 and it was about to break out . Another few years and it would be a different story for me
Hi Mike, thank you for suggestion to get prostate checked, I'm 54 now & had a digital test done by my GP earlier this week. I'm going back there for blood test & urine sample next week. I work on a acute care ward and so yes I deal with health issues all the time. Good luck with your treatment, I really enjoy seeing you & your videos on here. All the best & please look after yourself.
Thank you for your support. Admirable job you have. Pleased your acting on my advise. Sadly we don’t really screen for Prostate cancer despite it being one/ if not the most common cancer in men. A higher PSA still does not mean cancer but any higher reading is worth investing. Also good to have low readings as you then have a baseline if you check every few years. If it rises you are 100% catching something early.
Good to see you back in the saddle Mike. Positive thinking is one of the most important factors here. The gods spoke and you listened, now they're speaking to me. I'm booking my test next week.
Well done Simon. Good luck with the text don’t get anxious. If a blood test make sure they tick PSA but also check everything else while your there. It’s only us who can take charge of our health.
This is the watch on my wrist now. I went back and forth between the two movements, and finally chose this one. I`m glad I did because it is running between 1 and 2 seconds slow per day. I can sure live with that. It is getting kind of dark now and is really beautiful with the original strap.
Really great to see a video from you pop up in my subscription list! Hope all is going well and looking forward more content. Also, you’ve inspired me to get psa screening. Thank you and best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Just found your channel. Sorry to hear about your cancer, I was in the same club but am now "cancer free" about 5 years on. I pray your treatment is successful and that you never experience issues again! The review is great! I've been lusting over bronze watches lately and this was very helpful.
Thank you Ray. Hope you enjoy my channel. There is a good mix on here. As for my cancer. I’m now 16 weeks post operation to remove my prostate. Doing really well and got the all clear although as I am sure you understand it’s never the all clear…. I get tested now every 3 months for my PSA blood test. Next one in December., ! Good luck with a bronze watch. This one I do really like as the sizing is perfect for me.
Well done to you being so young! Drivers, buy the best you can afford really. I use a set from A&F that I bought from Cousins uk. A&F don’t exist anymore but I think they are now cousins own brand. I can’t remember what I paid. £60 maybe? You want them to be comfortable for you. Blades you can always change to top brands if you wanted. Keeping blades in good order either sharpening or changing for new ones helps to minimise slipping.

So great to see you back Mike! Stoked to see this upload today, and really happy you seem to be in good spirits and doing well. Oh and the watch is nice too 😄.
Great review. Glad you are back. Hope you keep improving and find yourself "at the bench" soon. As to the movement, considering the spectacular performance, do you think this movement might be the equivalent of the Elaborate or chronometer grade? Perhaps that's a future video topic. Good vid. Keep at it!
I would not put it to that standard. It’s completely mass produced probably completely automated assembly too. I can’t speak for long term reliability either. Why I want to take one apart to see inside.
@@MyRetroWatches are you saying that if someone disassembled a machine built movet and somehow 'tweaked" the parts one could go from "standard " to "Elaborae" quality? As to your planned disaster, we would look forward to seeing that!
Glad to see you back in action so fast Mike! Interesting watch and nice review, but I'm not sure if I would grab it for that price range, considering also that it's "quite similar" to what we known.
Honestly I like the caseback. I know it's boring, but it's different to everyone else (except Rolex & Tudor), looks clean and quality and is guaranteed comfort. Nice review, superb watch.
San Martin is a pretty good watch, but one critique with them is the bottom of the case is very sharp. If you wear it for long periods, it does cut into you. Also, they could do with a little more finishing on the case edge near the skin. Had that problem with the bronze blue water ghost. Basically, the same watch you have there but with a date.
Kinda like pencil hand instead of the mercedes. What do you think, would it be a mistake? I guess it would be less popular if I would eventuallly sell it.
They offer that option for a reason so can’t be that unpopular. Some people like the cleaner look. The steel version (s) are I think the most popular San Martin watch made.
