Good reviews guys, one suggestion: Please try them on and state your sizes of both the jackets and your height/weight. Some people can only buy online and it would be great to see how a specific jacket fits on a certain body size. Cheers!

Kuiu runs small. I own a variety of their gear. Only the guide and axis pants are true to size from the products I’ve owned - this is because they are intentionally made big to accommodate for base layer usage. I own coats, pants, shirts, hoodies and they all run really snug. So keep that in mind when ordering. They will provide you a shipping label for a return but it will deduct $7.50 from your refund. I’m very impressed with the quality of the kuiu products and intend to buy more. I’ve only owned a sitka backpack so I can cant comment for comparison.
If I paid $350 for a jacket with "wind stopper technology" that wouldn't keep you dry in the rain I would seek psychiatric help. A $20 windbreaker from Walmart has wind stopper technology.
The hood, chest, shoulders and top of back are all water proof in the axis. The bottom half of the back, underarm, sides and stomach area are breathable with the dwr coating. The axis is WAY better than the Sitka for wind and water. Edit- kuiu sized their stuff as base mid and outer so you get your size and everything is designed to work.
Good review guys, yeah these jackets look great and I just bought the Sitka jet stream, gradient hoody, delta wading jacket, and Kelvin aero light jacket!!! Love them all and they are super comfortable. Also love the pants like Dakota pants n territory pants

I just got the guide jacket. Not wind proof what’s so ever. Nice coat for mild weather. That’s while looking at the axis but a little gun shy from the first purchase. Got friends that run the jet stream and swear by it. I like the verde camo better. Hmmm?
Have the Jetstream, fantastic until it gets wet. Without a fire unusable the next Day after hiking all day in the snow. No go for a minimalist spike camp. Great for one day or dry weather. If wet a water proof she'll is a must, the jacket is too warm to have a shell over unless very cold. My 2 cents
What part montana you guys from? Good video I've ran underarmour for year till the changed the color now I'm looking to switch probably going with kuiu!

Do you guys feel the Axis Jacket is too noisy for whitetail bow hunting? Just curious.

I like the Sitka subalpine better than kuiu Verde.
Would the axis keep me warm by its own in 40 degrees ? With just a tshirt underneath

The jet stream comes in solid colors if that fits your fancy

KUIU is a great option! We are in western Montana where we hunt below the tree line

I went from under armour to Sitka this year. I realized how garbage under armour is! Omg Sitka is crazy warm and comfortable!
