My favorite artists of all time, heard somebody played a 8 track of him in 1977 ( when I was a little kid) and never got over it. "Johnny was a beker, used to live in Jamaica......"
In Jamaica any musical celebrities can walk freely in their country without being mobbed. You see them and you just hail them up and they respond and just keep strolling on as cool as ice. Love Jah Youth, fascinating man.
Why would you want to gloss over that fact? It is very rare for a celebrity not to be able to walk around freely in any country. Only a very select few celebrities get mobbed wherever they go and if they do it is usually positive attention, eg. "Hey I know you, love your work" etc.. You are not "walking around freely" if you are at a constant risk of getting murdered over nothing. Like King Tubby was for example.
His mother was a revivalist , that went over the the interviewers head..... She was a healer and a leader in the community , but he was bucking her system , he saw more Light in The Rastafarians because he saw demonstrated love in their life style although they were heavily persecuted in those days,,, it is hard to understand everything he is saying because most of it is bundled in lived experiences , not easily explained.
After I ENTER through this DOOR noone else shall ENTER. BIG YOUTH SOLDIER ICON ❤️❤️💚🖤💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🎶🎶🎶💯💯💯👂👂

I believe that's a different topic. Yes, it happens, but "celebrities" do walk around our country quite freely.
That's a different topic. I'm just speaking from experience.
