Yeah, I started working on documents 2 years ago. I am finally ready to file my 1948 case and the price quote has doubled! On top of my USA attorney costs, this has become outrageous!
It wasn't stated clearly, the 600 Euro fee per petitioner in a 1948 case, is that only for adults? Are minors also charged? Or are fees for minors waived as they are in the other two citizenship by descent methods (consulate/municipality)? - Thanks!
Citizenship by marriage? I didn't see that covered. I think I am through all the hurdles - waiting for my decreto - but don't know whether a new surprise will come up for the final stage
@@ChristineF55 well then you are not "suing" the Italian court - you are just presenting your case to the Italian court. I'm approaching it the same way for 16 family members, although not a 1948 case.
Well it's utterly unfair when you've applied as far as 2022 and it's taking them literally 2 years to respond for homework 🙄 especially when you are a straight shooter of an immediate anscster, and you've lived in Italy as a minor😢
What is the fee for MINORS in the 1948 court case scenario? Also 600 euro each?

The channel has a fresh look 🙌

In mid 2021, Consolate of Miami did away with in person and allowed me to mail the materials to Miami. Then they changed back recently.
What was the court fee per case for multiple applicants prior? was it 500 each person named in the petition? or 500 per case filing?
Do minors in a 1948 case have to pay the $600 fee? Is this fee on top of the court case fees?
For those of us who are already in-process and have a court date (1948 case), will there be an additional fee?
This is my question too (ours is in April). I suspect an email to the ICA is in order.

Is that 600 in addition to the application fee or it is the application fee?
Yeah 7000-euro to file papers that I collected, got apostille on and translated is pretty steep @NigelHyphenJones
It would've been nice if it had been clearer. The fee is currently E300, right? So, the fee basically doubled?
That's what I got from it. That will be the best 600 Euro I've ever spent.
@@goaliemojo4310 ICA is already handling my 1948 case. There's a total of 7 of us in the case. And my wife's petitioning Germany for EU citizenship.
If the consulate sin the US would actually pay attention to us that wiukd be nice. Unfortunately I have been ignored or not treated very well
Yes what about minor children on the 1948 case... Are they all considered petitioners and have to pay $600 each?
That's how I understood it.
My son, daughter, 4 grandchildren and myself are all suing the courts in Italy. Do the 4 grandchildren have to pay the $600 fee?
Suing the courts in Italy??? Good luck with that! LOL!!!
@jfoli7712 that's how we get citizenship without going through a US consulate.
That's what I understand. Marco says ALL petitioners in the 1948 cases have to pay the fee.
@@daisy9910we are going by decent but by my grandfather, so we aren't considered 1948.

Inglewood 😂🎉
I'd go as far to say to people, forget about Italian citizenship until the EU is dissolved. Go to Serbia!
😅
It’s obvious they dont want us. I don’t blame them, but wish I would’ve never started this journey. Wasted too much money already
