Wow. When thinking of how odd it was that the e46 M3 didn't come in a sedan, and picturing how the previous e36 sedan looks, as well as the later e92 sedan, I always tried to imagine what an e46 would look like with 4 doors. And here it is. Nice work.
I got tears on the last pictures of how beautiful this looks this is the ultimate driving machine

Amazing job… I’m just surprised at 3 things… You did all this but left it as an SMG2, put on an OEM exhaust, and decided to go with the old style taillights instead of the LED???

Where did you get these rear fenders? Were they cut from an m3 or made new?
Oh, great I see now on how the quad tail pipes were installed by removing the spare tire holder in the trunk and the headlights swap using the bumper brackets, headlight trim pieces, hood and fenders from a M3.
That’s a lot of work into that swap 😮
Where did you find the sedan version of an M3 hood? Incredible build btw, I think this is the dream of every non M e46 owner, and you killed it man!

Same front end length, side skirts differ between coupes and sedans, everything else is basically the same size
Personally if I was going to do this project, I would go for the 6 speed manual gearbox and keep it a five seater.
There was another longer version Of this , what happened to it ??
The potential this video had was enormous. But then it turned out to be a picture slideshow with 30 mins of the most annoying music known to mankind (yes I know you can mute the volume but then your attention is drawn away from the video somewhat).
A pity there was no narration on this. Still, the conversion an impressive thing to do. A shame that you didn't convert this to a manual though. Much more of a drivers machine and more reliable.

amazing. first e46 m3 saloon ive seen. was the rear bumper a direct fit or did you have to modify any way?
Needs to be modified. Everything basically needs to be modified. I am planing on doing the same project. Because of the wide wheelhousing the back bumper and trunk also needs adjustment.

I have an e46 318i m package and I'm thinking of doing the exact same to mine. But it will take a lot of money since I'm not a mechanic 😅
not sure why not use the whole fender. is this because coupe fenders don't fit on sedan(with hood and f.bumper swapped)?
door and fender wont line up as the coupe fender is longer

I have a 2005 E46 318ci coupe with only 184,000km reg in Ireland, I know this sounds criminal to do this to such a low km engine but I miss the power I had in my golf mk5 twin charge with 200hp and 300ft lbs of torque , How much would it cost to swap a 2.5 or 3litre m3 engine and parts like drive shaft, gearbox and diff , into my 318ci ???
I knowit would probably be quite difficult but I'm gonna take a week or two off and actually do something like this just would like a pricing ???

Really appreciate the amount of work you done, and the car looks OEM , something what bmw didn’t do at the time , my opinion just get an M3 and add another 2 doors it will be quicker and easier 😂😂😂 like an rx8 😂😂😂😂😂
Not really, you would have toswap over the A Pillar and B Plillar for that conersion, it would also be time consuming cuz you are doing chassis work and if not done right, will ruin the structural intergity of the car
