357 carbines are a hoot! Accurate, very little recoil and just plain fun!
allen copley And hard hitting. Great for hunting. I launch a 180gr XTP at 1500fps. Great hog gun. I’ve even taken a crocodile with my M92 Rossi.
The best thing is, you can shoot 38 special and makes it feel like a 22!

@@texmex8220 deer are quite the hoot too, but sure looks silly trying to aim the deer at the targets. (Yes, I have hunted several seasons in the past with .357, not too dissimilar from ol' hickok45's, & a purdy good deer rifle imo)

This TH-cam is really something. I am watching you at 2:45 am here in Georgia, but it is daylight where you are. Remarkable.
Mine is a pre cross bolt safety microgroove round barrel 1894 .357 mag with an XS sight system rail, Leupold Scout Scope, Ranger Precision Point Medium Loop Lever, and a sling with quick detach swivels. You can shoot real hot .357 mag rounds in a very handy rifle. I'm thinking it will be the entry level centerfire rifle for my grandchildren so they can learn to use a scope without "scope bump". Now all I need is some grandkids!
Happy fourth Hickok! Your videos have been an inspiration in my life. You are why my fist Glock was a 23. Which is why my next purchase was a 19X. It seemed so docile and easy to shoot, because I was used to the .40 snap! I am so much better at target / speed shooting than all my friends now because I first saw your videos on TH-cam... so thank you from the heart. You make the world better.
I have a marlin 1894 in 44 mag . Love it . Shoots super accurate not alot of recoil . Lever actions nice .
Please do a video on how to adjust the different Rifle sights. Like the Skinner, Buckhorn and so on. Would be very educational for us. Thanks

They are the original assault rifles and still have some features not available with modern magazine fed firearms.

After watching your videos for the last 10 years or so and seeing you use ballistol on your guns, I decided to give it a try. I grew up using hoppes number 9 because that's what my Dad used. After trying ballistol, I will never use anything else again. That stuff is amazing! Makes cleaning gun so much easier. To your viewers out there, you definitely need to try ballistol. One of the few rifles I still have my eyes set on is the Model 94.
Great advice. Never get in hurry when shooting 357 rounds, you'll spend a hundred bucks before you know it.

1894 carbine is my favorite fun gun! Shot mine in a 200 yard "Garand" match for the fun of it. Off hand was terrible, but that was me trying to control the short light rifle. Sitting and prone were a lot easier and ended up out scoring all the 30 carbines and a Garand or two. In rapid fire for the required magazine change the RSO and club leadership allowed me to start 8 in the tube and load 2, opposite of the 2 and 8 for the Garands, and FYI it has peep sights on it as well. That was several years ago and each match I still get asked if that's what I'm shooting.

I just got one of these new a few months ago. I know they have their hiccups ever since the Remington acquirement, but after changing out the sights with Skinners, getting a lever with a bigger loop, swapping out the stock ejector spring with a one-piece ejector spring, and replacing the stock extractor on the bolt with an improved aftermarket extractor claw, this thing is pretty fun to shoot, and have had no problems with it. Mind you, I changed the parts out BEFORE I ever took it to the range.

Can't go wrong with a lever-gun...I have two Rossis, one in .45-70, the other in .480 Ruger...I love 'em both!!!
Skinner sights, a fine choice. I put those on my '94 Winchester. They are simple and well made here in the U.S.
I purchased one a couple of years ago. Love ❤️ that little rifle. Ha e the same set up on my rifle. Added Skinner Peep sight. Have several Marlin rifles. Have a 39 A, a 336, 2 1894s, a 357/38 Spl and a 44 Mag, and a Marlin Model 444 in 444 Marlin
I just recently got a Marlin/Remington 94 chambered in 45 Colt(Long Colt) that was made in June 2019. That Rifle is a absolute beauty to shoot and look at, it feeds, looks, and shoots like a dream, I absolutely love that rifle. And loading my own ammunition I can load some pretty hot ammo for that beast, that’ll drop pretty much anything in the lower 48. Marlin rifles are great again!!!!

My favorite, too! Mine is just like that, except I squibbed it and had to send it in to be re-barrelled. the lessons learned hardest are the lessons learned best. I'll see it again someday.
Got one, even have a Skinner on it. Now I'll have to get it back out. Thought I'd have to change out the front sight but seems to work well with the factory one. Such a fun setup.

I have a JM 1894 .357 I bought new. It's a budget version carbine they sold at Big 5 back in the day, with round barrel and uncheckered beechwood stock. Such a sweet shooter, especially after an aftermarket trigger and springs. I'll probably keep it forever.
I have a 92 repro in in 357, I do love it very accurate a hoot to shoot.
