I LOVE KTAPE! I fell a while ago and could never walk without an issue. I saw this video and tried the ktape myself. So grateful for this channel! Thanks Ginja Ninja!
Just started using it for lower knee tendon and ligament paints pull up the patella and engage the quads more. It's soooo mu much better than just strapping and the increased movement seems to be helping recovery too! Total game changer. Starting to think I may be able to play soccer again after all.
Glad you’re seeing improvement with your knee! It’s great for patellar tendinitis, patellar tracking, and engaging the quads and hamstrings. Hope you keep improving and can get back to soccer ⚽️
Looking forward to trying this method, once my knee heels from my last application, where I blistered and sheared skin off from it being too tight. But, BOY did the support feel good. I need to find a healthy balance.
Thank you...love this video! I've been using KT tape for a few of months now and it has done wonders for the problems in my knee. I start PT in a couple weeks and this is definitely getting me through until then.
I’ve been using kinesiology tape for five years and find it a better solution to the old athletic tape which needs pre wrap and has to come off everyday whilst restricting movement which the kinesiology tape doesn’t.
I completely agree. Kinesio tape and athletic tape have different uses and applications. Many injuries don't need the immobilization that athletic tape provides.
I've used this tape before and was super happy to find this video on it! I think i might get some again so i can play sports without as much knee pain =D
I started using tape over 1.5 years out of TKR. I can't get anyone to recommend another surgery and the pain is still etreme. It helps me get off the TENS unit when I start tearing my hair out with pain and the wires.
I can't believe my ACTUAL DOCTOR sent me a link to a guy who opened with: "Hey guys, waz kracken, it's Dr. Nevel aka dr. ginga ninga aka the firecracker chiropractor!!!" 0:17
I plan on using this kind of tape because every time i play soccer soon or late i feel like my knee is going backwards and it hurts a lot, how should i tape my knee in that case?
I use this taping technique for patellofemoral pain syndrome in conjunction with other therapies including the Graston Technique (IASTM). The first 2 strips of kinesio tape demonstrated at 2:20 help support the patella. If a patient has issues with patellar tracking, I sometimes "pull" the patella towards midline when I bring those strips up the quadricep muscles.
Bowed legs can be normal in kids and go away without treatment. In some cases it can be caused by different things such as Blount disease or rickets. Kinesio tape can be used to help retrain muscles and help the biomechanics in people with bowed legs. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29861259/
Hello there, This kind of taping is okay for my knee pain, not injury, but when I do jump smash and land with my left foot, my left knee aches. And what color of kinesiology for this. please answer
The different colors of kinesio tape do not have different strengths. The colors are purely for style. Rock Tape offers extra sticky tape but it's overall the same as regular Rock Tape. Good luck!
Rather a question. I've used KTape for several years. Now I have still innerside kneepain after a total kneeprothese operation 1,5yr ago. Any suggestion on how to tape for this? Thanks for your nice video's
Thanks for the question. It really depends on what is going on specifically with your knee. I would recommend seeing a doctor to figure out why you're still having medial knee pain. Some people that have medial knee pain add an extra piece of the tape on the inner knee similar to the taping technique I demonstrated in the video at 3:30. I would also recommend seeing a chiropractor/physical therapist/knee doctor to evaluate the need for a foot orthotic (shoe insert) to make sure your arch isn't collapsing creating stress to the inner knee. This is a very common cause of knee pain. Good luck!
@@DrBrandonNevelthanks for your answer, I'm already have insoles to correct the foot inclination. Have had +/80 fysio sessions, have consulted 3 high classed sports osteopaths, and about 10 post-op consultations with the surgeon.Rx's have been taken. Everything should in order!?🙄🤔🥺 Might muscle activating/ tonificating taping helping? Or would this making the problem worse?
Taping for chondromalacia patella requires knowledge of which direction the patella is tracking. But you tape the knee cap similar to how we tape in this video but pull it in the opposite direction its tracking. So if you have a lateral tracking knee cap, you bring the tape more medial so the patella tracks more that direction. Otherwise, you can try the taping technique in this video and it should help stabilize your knee somewhat. Some meniscal tears require surgery and more advanced rehab.

I’m a football player that worries so much about my performances , I got my ligament injured I was asked by the doctor to wait for 100days, I just can’t,to me football is not just a sport it’s life. I started using knee pads but I realized they do compress my knees which results to more pains and I can’t even control well the ball. My knees also get knackered easily. I read about knee taping and I think it’s the right choice. My questions are after knee taping, can I play football? will taping enhance my knee strength and easiness? Thanks 🙏
Which ligament did you injure? How severe? There are many ways to tape knees and I think kinesio taping your knees might help with your recovery and performance going forward. You can play with the tape on and and it can help muscle and knee function.
That depends on what is causing the soreness. I would recommend seeing a sports doctor and determine what is creating the soreness to see if a therapy like kinesio taping will help.
I assume you've seen an orthopedist for an evaluation. Afterwards, you can use the tape in thin strips in a cross spider web-like pattern if you have swelling and edema. The more important thing is to stabilize the bone so the fracture can heal. I also use high-dose laser to speed the healing process of the bone. If you want to know more about laser, I have a video explaining it. Good luck!!! th-cam.com/video/ZYs7NTqFJZk/w-d-xo.html
Great idea! I just added the centimeter lengths in the description of this knee taping video and will add the lengths in cm to the other kinesio taping videos as well. Thanks for the suggestion!

What about for a repetitive kneeling on hard surface. I thought it was a sprain or strain. I used knee support in the instructions which are different than this.
