- Hey guys! This video took me an entire day to upload so I hope it’s worth it 😂 In this video I am reviewing the L’Oréal elvive hair mask for dry and damaged hair. I was tempted by Olaplex but couldn’t bring myself to pay the monz for something so small so wanted to try some more affordable options first! My hair is dry and damaged from it being bleached. I used to have my hair all over bleached white, I have curly frizzy hair, I use deloenzo illumin8 purple shampoo which is super soft and always a mask as a conditioner, whilst in the shower, I never have to leave in for hrs. I bought the Elvive oil which I absolutely love, I've just bought this mask so can't wait to try tomorrow. I got all the olaplex products but don't rate them at all, will never waste my money again.
I've always been tempted by Olapex but it seems you get such a small amount of product for such a big price and I have thick hair so it wouldn't last me long :(
@@MillieWYT the best mask and shampoo I found was Loreal ever pure no sls or parabens, used it for yrs then they stopped either making it or selling it here in oz. I just saw from a ytuber that it is available in US, I got so excited, I will have to see if I can get it again here. I liked the oil mask, it made my hair look really thick, as I said before I use instead of conditioner so my hair always stays super soft and manageable.
This mask makes my curls so soft and they always look great I miss the tube one but this one seems to smell and work the same
Loving loreal products my sister uses this hair mask I'll be definitely going to try it out I need a moisturizer for my hair special since I dye my hair so much
Please please please use a spray leave in/ detangler before your brush!! And use other leave in products for repair and moisture if you're not already

There are so many good ones but my faves are Unite 7 seconds, shea moisture coconut line or the yogurt and honey line, bumble and bumble hairdressers oil primer, and pureology colour fanatic. (All of these are sprays that you spray on clean damp hair). Then I would go in with a cream leave in/ leave in treatment like the Redken play safe, olaplex 6, or Redken all soft mega hydramelt. Then, if you want to seal it all in, put a little bit of oil (my faves are the Moroccan oil (light if you're blonde) or olaplex 7). And when you're brushing out your hair, switch to a wide tooth comb when it's wet or a wet brush and start at the ends and work your way up. Also deep condition at least once a week (alternate moisture and protein ones depending on what your hair needs) and try not to shampoo daily (but if you have to wash it everyday, try cowashing inbetween shampoos) hope this helps! Omg I’m so sad for your tangles! I find that when I use the Joico purple shampoo when my hair needs a tone, the conditioner makes it SO soft. So maybe try Joico!

I have lots of hair and I get a lot of uses out of olaplex, I think the best results are with a bond repair and a moisture mask, alsp try a vinegar rinse, it smooths the cuticle.
While you are using the masks and conditioner... please do not use a brush on wet hair. Buy a wide tooth comb to comb your hair after shower. I also keep one wide tooth comb in the shower so once I apply conditioner and massage through my hair, I use the comb to even out the conditioner through my hair... no matting or anything afterwards and always finish rinsing hair with cold water or lukewarm if can’t handle cold ... hot water also makes hair frizzy. brush your hair starting down and working your way up so you don’t lose that much hair and the tangels tend to be less

I've been using the total repair from L'oreal for a long time but I might try this!
You need to use a paddle brush to help when your hair is matted, the brush you use is breaking your hair as you rip through it with that brush you use. Also surely with the hair mask you should just rinse? And not shampoo after using the product.
Thanks, yes I actually have a paddle brush now which works well :) after the hair mask I used conditioner not shampoo - apparently using the mask after the shampoo helps it penetrate the hair follicles better and then using conditioner after locks it’s all in

Yes you can but it might make your hair oily so I would recommend putting it on the mid to ends if you have naturally oily hair :)
