      Glad it was helpful! There are definitely more affordable stores and plenty of street vendors and markets but we find Massy tends to have the harder to find items.
      What part of the island are you staying?

      @@theflipthescriptfamily I was thinking Massy for first shop and then explore smaller shops for other items. Christ Church

      Yes! There are much larger malls here on island! Perhaps we should do a video on the malls?

      @Darren Virassammy Shearaton Mall was my favorite when I lived on the island. I think it is in Christ Church where we lived for a few months.

      Yes, there are a few proper shopping malls as well we will have to highlight.

    Great video. That's going to be our local supermarket when we move from the UK to Barbados in 4 weeks time. We have visited it a few times before but it's good to get an idea of current prices

    Hello FTS family and happy Saturday to you all . Love the tour . Its like when I'm home on holidays I'm still in Canada except for the local food which is not that plentiful here . Its good to see youall supporting local , but have you tried our turnovers ? they are great and so is the sweet bread 🍞 if you get the right bakery . Have a swell weekend .

      My favourite bakeries ? Or do you mean sweet pastries . There's only 2 main bakeries on the island . Purity & zephrins and you can find their breads and stuff in any supermarket . Hope you're having a lovely day.

    One of the most expensive supermarkets on the island

    • @theflipthescriptfamily
      @theflipthescriptfamily  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It definitely is, however, we thought it might be helpful for visitors as this is a popular store many visitors frequent.

      Buy items from Barbados/Caribbean-it’s not too expensive - certainly compared to the UK - it’s a good supermarket. If you want UK/US products - it is super expensive. You just have to be sensible - you can certainly buy better fruit and veg elsewhere.

    Great video! Can you recommend any bajan brands of toothpaste without fluoride and deodorant that doesn't contain aluminium. Any health stores that might carry that kind of thing?

    • @theflipthescriptfamily
      @theflipthescriptfamily  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! We usually bring that in when we travel but you may want to try Clifton Market or Mindful Market to have the best options of finding those sorts of products.

      @theflipthescriptfamily  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Are you looking specifically at Massy? They have plenty of candy snacks to choose from typically at the front left of the Holetown store upon entering. Or are you interested in candy snacks elsewhere on the island?
