Thanks for the analysis. As someone who did a bit of coding in University, this makes sense to me. Also agree they likely wanted to test that the third instakill variant of the attack worked differently. And that few playtesters would've seen this as it requires dragging out the last phase.
2:44 the second parameter could possibly be the target, they probably want to have control over what specific members are targeted by the attack, perhaps for cutscene/scripted attack purposes
Really insightful vid and I like how you use your own knowledge to solve it. I haven't heard of this bug before myself but it's really funny how this is the last thing the game shows to you before annihilating your entire party lmao.
I think the text being all messed up is kinda cool. It catches me off guard when i see it. Its like brahmans messing with the code of the game lol 😮💨 Tho i find it funny how as someone whos learning coding they'd leave such a error in the game
