    Mr rost you are the master of ms access in our generation. Keep the good job. Pls show us how to use ms access as frontend and online SQL as backend.

    Richard, how can you use your phone to scan barcodes into your database? Example stocktaking scan the barcode an enter the qty.

    • @599CD
      @599CD  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'd suggest finding a barcode scanning app, batch scan your barcodes, and then save that data to a text file. Import the file into Access, parse it line by line, and read in your data that way. As far as individually scanning items with a phone... I've never tried.

    Richard I can only speak on behalf of myself but for sure many people are hardly waiting for your new video how to install Amazon Wirtual Space on their PC or laptops and be able to open MDB files with orders, sales, ect. using their smartphones.

      That's literally what this video shows. There is no native Access app for Android or iOS.

    Hi Richard, it is a very interesting subject.
    I tried it and it works perfectly with my iPad.
    Is it possible to have 2 or even up to 3 iPads to use this setup to access the same database to update a contacts table??
    It doesn’t mean that they will access the database at the same time, but statistically it could be possible. My database is split with BE and FE.
    Thank you very much and have a good week.

      If you had different PCs (even virtual PCs connected to the same database) then sure. Joe, Linda, and Karen can all connect to their own PCs running Access that are connected to the back-end server.

    I have a simple MSDB Access program that takes pictures and saves them to the person’s record using a webcam. Is it possible to use iphone or ipad instead of the webcam? I’m able to connect the iphone or ipad to the computer, but Access does not recognize it as a “camera”. Any Suggestions?

    the pc at work that has to be running, will it work if the account is logged in but the PC is locked?

    • @599CD
      @599CD  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. But you'll have to unlock it remotely to use it. Therefore anyone watching your terminal could jump in or see what you're doing. The only way around that is to use a virtual PC or cloud desktop. 599cd.com/ADC

    If you created an app that runs Access on a mobile device, you would sell a ton! I would only want 2% for giving you the idea. LOL

    • @599CD
      @599CD  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah... LOTS of people want Access on their phones or tablets. It would be nice to have a native app. Unfortunately, that's not my forte.
