    I used to work up in that area and eat lunch on the bridge quite often. Very cool!

    What are the extra tracks often seen on rr bridges? Looks like a fun time was had by all.

      If I'm not mistaken (and that is very poss lol) it is for multi-use reasons. Most outer track width being standard train, and the added inner rail for smaller carts and service vehicles? Cheers 🤘

    Hey! Awesome video. Just wondering if you know whether or not the south entrance is still open? I'd hate to make the drive from Yakima to have it be blocked off as well. Thanks :)

      As far as I know it is! My friend from this group in the video went there again two weekends ago and she used the same south side entrance used in the video.

    Smart move going to the south side now that the north side has barb wire. Seems like a fun adventure! How long was the hike for you guys?

    • @BoschVoyage
      @BoschVoyage  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the hike to the south side entrance makes it more of an adventure! And the hike is about 1.5 miles each way.

      Nice! Where did you park? Hoping to see it before they rip the rest of it up :(

    • @BoschVoyage
      @BoschVoyage  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      We parked pretty close to one of the gates that blocks a road which we hiked on to get to the bridge. I have the spot marked on my google maps link in the description!

      Was the road that you drive up to get to the south side trail also blocked? I also read online that they are making arrests in the area--did you go early in the morning?

    • @BoschVoyage
      @BoschVoyage  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The road is open up until that gate we ducked under at 0:20 in the video. And I read those reports too, but who knows how accurate that is. We went on a Saturday in October and I saw no one who would be enforcing that. Maybe avoid going during peak times like on a weekend in the summer.

    • @BoschVoyage
      @BoschVoyage  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Twiggy G Not sure of the exact coordinates, but I have the location marked on Google Maps in the description

    Hey so I've been to vance creek a couple of times but I only used the north entrance. Now that they took the boards down im still tryna go using the south entrance. On your map it says that you turn from NF-23 onto NF-2341/2199 but from my experience and from the map, it shows that there is a gate blocking that road?? Are you able to drive around it or what? I know it is possible to go the long way around but I rather wouldn't. Im planning on going this weekend and any a response would be appreciated

    • @BoschVoyage
      @BoschVoyage  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On the map I put a green pin that is titled "Park here" and we were able to drive all the way to that spot. There is a closed gate at that spot which is not possible to drive around, but the hike is only 1.5 miles to the south entrance of the bridge.

    • @BoschVoyage
      @BoschVoyage  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh I see what you mean with the gate being closed on Google Maps with the turn off from NF-23 onto NF-2341/2199. When we went it was open, and several cars were driving along that route.

    • @ModernmaniacX
      @ModernmaniacX 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bosch Voyage alright I'll test my luck! how long ago did you go?

    • @BoschVoyage
      @BoschVoyage  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah let me know how it goes! We went last October, towards the end of the month. And if that gate is closed, I don't see any gates along the NF2199/ NF2341 road coming from the south. Would be a longer drive, but it's a backup plan just incase!
