Started playing in the m15 khans era. Dragons of tarkir was the first fat pack I ever bought
Not to sound like a Debby Downer, but I've completely backed off of new products. Sure I might miss out on some opportunities, but I'm slowly collecting some vintage cards. I wasn't apart of mtg back then, but looking at some of the older artwork really intrigues me. I can see why mtg has people by the pantelones. A word of advice though, don't go all in, if you stay searching for that item you want daily, you will eventually get it without overpaying. As soon as you are able to get the FOMO out of you, you will make much healthier, and wiser choices.

While I do dabble occasionally in new products like Modern Horizons, I am mostly going for very old cards that have eternal use in commander or are just amazing artwork. Something about the first 5 or so years of magic just enthralls me, from the artwork to the wacky cards back then.

Hey Rudy, I think you got a little thing mixed up. I'm pretty sure the card you're thinking of is "Stubborn Denial".
Stubborn Denial {U} - (Counter target spell unless it's controller pays {1}. Ferocious - if you control a creature with power 4 or greater, counter that spell instead.) Uncommon - Khans of Tarkir.
Without looking it look, I know the card hit around 14$ foil a few years ago.
I remember having Dragonlord Atarka as my pre-release promo during this sets pre-release, that night is one of my better memories of mtg.

Dragons of Tarkir more like $$$$ of Tarkir probably the best third set in a block ever. Sorry War of the Spark but this was the most awesome third set ever. Also since I'm Seto Kaiba anything with Dragons I approve! Joey Wheeler's Dragon will always suck though.

You almost got at least of each dragon lord and their command! Ojitua just decided to not show up.
When there's another lull in the player base after this rotation, they will have to do something to the standard boxes to move them. It may not be fetch lands, but I wouldn't doubt it at all.

I think by circuit breaker he just listed 4 for starters. Then he waited and listed the others (50) at the higher price.

He will provide a list at the beginning of the month with boxes offered for that month and you are limited to one order per month. Any specials or deals Rudy offers during the month doesn’t count towards your six boxes. Currently both Ravnicas and WOTS are on the list.. I assume Core 2020 will be as well. I remember the boxes that could be mapped and there were so many boxes that had a fetch in every booster...I saw these in a LGS and he over charged like crazy..and to the person who replied to this..I seriously think you're the one who's smelling glue ... I remember the owner of the LGS opening an entire CASE and each booster had a fetch..and he called it just before opening..how did he know...obviously something wasnt right.. He even said he had a system to know which ones had them...
Fetches weren't in Dragons of Tarkir. I think you're misremembering.

i remember opening a foil coco when it was like 4 dollars foil, a friend (store owner) insisted me to gift it to him, i said hell no this will be played, month's later sold it for like 40

There is no obvious about it. We are here to learn, discuss, and speculate. I love how Tef 5 has become Iconic alongside Tef 3 and Nexus.
Teferi sees play in Modern, Legacy and Vintage. Teferi will hold and then go up. Narset (from DTK) does not see any play.
Has Rudy ever unboxed a misprint on video
Mainly bad cuts, like too thick/thin borders. I remember one time he got a miscolored Marit Lage’s Slumber (it was grayer than normal)

That's because fat packs suck. Booster boxes have much better odds.
K Command and CoCo are still around the 20$ mark they are both Modern staples for certain decklists. K command spiked last year around this tme to 26$. I love both those cards. CoCo broke the standard format that’s card was everywhere and so was abzan. You didn’t open a Siege Rhino which was another iconic card of the times:)

Stop that bullshit, everybody knows it's all about the lands, competitive magic is all about the lands!
God this set sucked. Context, Khans was my first pre-release set and what a starting point. Every box was worth money, every prerelease kit was worth money, the sets balance was impeccable, it was the best draft format in 5 years, standard hit a high wouldn't reach to Guilds of ravnica released. Fate reforge hits and it's not that good but it doesnt alter standard for the worse so whatever, it wasn't going to be as good as khans no shame. Dragons hits: Wizards trashes all the lore, all the good cards, the entire standard format, and produces one of the blandest limited environments till ixalan would release. Then so disgusted with themselves wizards rotates all the sweet khans cards early and leaves in this vile disgusting set for an eternity. I can't stand this set.
Calling Icefall Regent a terrible card gets Rudy a thumbs-down from me. When this set was in Standard, I would play mono-U control with four of these dragons as the only creatures in my deck. It was awesome. Someone should teach Rudy how to play the game.

But it is a terrible card. Dragonlord Ojutai was far better. Playing it as your only creature was a bad move too when Crackling Doom was in the format.
