- Elections were held in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh on May 13. The state has been electing 175 legislators and 25 members of parliament simultaneously since 1999. Once the dominant state down south, Andhra Pradesh was split in 2014 to create Telangana. That split continues to reverberate through the state's political economy till date.

Also it’s a Navy base and may not be suitable for obvious reasons. Vizag is fairly industrialized pharma city, steel plant, Port, andhra university and many more. Lot more is possible. It will gain lot of traction alongside Amaravati activity and vizag too will become a huge economic engine simultaneously

Gov is constructing 4 sea ports, 10 harbours, 4 sezs, 2 airports, 17 new medical colleges, remodelled or constructed 45000 schools, 1000 hospitals, 1300 PHCs, constructed 15000 sachivalayas, 10500 village clinics, 10500 RBKs, 1850 new ambulances etc. Handled the COVID the best in the country.
In GDP, AP is in 8th place and Telangana is in 9th place in India. This is without capital, once this ports and remaining investments worth 10 lakh cr MOus operational, Telangana can’t even touch AP.

State split forced down the throat by congress and BJP parties on 5 crore people of AP, who never wanted this illogical split.
Special status promised on the floor of parliament by then Prime minister since the capital was snatched away from 5 crore people and gifted to one state.
Modi / shah / BJP cite silly reasons saying there are many such requests from other states. Other states didn’t go through a forced state split with their capital given away as gift to one state.

Andhra Pradesh is a caste based state. People in this state, die and kill for cast. They vote based on caste they watch films based on caste of the hero. They rent their homes only after asking the cost of the tenant. A businessman hires 90% office employees from their caste in Andhra Pradesh. This is the sick mentality of Andhra Pradesh. That is the main reason for backwardness. Only if you decide few months, you will understand how much cast place a major role in this state.
