Amaravati was to be the capital of divided Andhra Pradesh. When the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) lost power in 2019, the Amaravati project paused. Under the YSRCP government, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he would opt for a three capital formula, triggering a series of protests from farmers who gave up their land for Amaravati. Vizag can be developed but it need not be a Capital city. Also like in the US a capital city need not be a big one. Smaller cities can be capitals. The good thing about Amaravati is its connectivity and reach for the citizens to come to the capital for any work. Also Vizag's development will be beneficial for the people of Odisha and WB etc rather than for Andhra and Rayalaseema people. Thus moving capital to Vizag will be a huge loss for Telugu people living below the Krishna river. Also, we should not repeat the mistake of investing in a single city like the Telugu people have invested in Hyderabad and now they lost a growth engine. Also what if all invest in Vizag and later if North Coastal Andhra wants to become a new state isn't it a loss for the Rayalaseema and South coastal Andhra?

Already sold @ 25 to 50 lakh per acres land for some institutions like SMR,VIT, Amrutha and so on around 5k acres , remain land bank with government 8 k acres land ..for 8 k acres land we need to invest 2-3 lakh cores . This is India not UsA that also this is under CBN AP , Vizag is best choice for capital as per state budget and freebies concern.

When the state of telangana and andhra separated a committee headed by a venerable ias officer from tamil nada mr sivaramakrishnan was set up to determine the ideal capital for Andhra Pradesh. It was called "expert committee on the new capital for andhra-pradesh". Pls read.
The report clearly suggested that Andhra Pradesh shouldn't have a central capital as it would lead to disservice to the rest of the far off districts due to the distances involved. He highlighted how decentralisation was already in play in Andhra as it had many developed cities.
Being a littoral state with a long coastline, decentralisation would benefit everyone.
His suggestions were ignored by TDP. Instead they focussed on amravati which is at the core of a particular caste.
Further it was situated in a fertile agricultural belt along a riverine floodwater zone. This only makes it more dangerous in the future.
The incumbent party were aghast by such unabashed prioritisation and they wanted to disrupt this unjust decision.
A state capital is not based in kin prioritisation.
In the long run it clearly disadvantages the entire state.
The incumbent party tried it's best to follow sivaramakrishnan committee report but alas populist disinformation prevails more and also prevents more detailed comments such as mine as they are contrary to the narrative.
Ask a person in central what naidu is capable of, he was the front page news of national media channels in late 90's and early 2000's. He was always keen in development of state with his ideas ,vision. Then people said many bad things,when he proposed hitech city in the place where it filled with stones and now it became one of the IT hub in the world and in india. so at first some people might not convinced as here people need free money every month, and ycp took it as an advantage. but in real whatever Chandra babu Naidu proposed was correct - be it Amaravati or Hitech city. It will give you revenue in future same like a single hitech city building.

1. Amaravathi capital area is located below the krishna river water level. If more water comes from
nagarjuna sagar dam or rain and river bed breaks it will flood the area
2. The Amaravathi capital area sand is not suitable for high rise buildings . Even for small building 30 feet

acre per year for 10 years and no capital gain tax in case they sell land. The 1 lakh farm laborers lost their farm jobs
and left for job search and these laborers are getting paid 2500 per month for 10 years.

we are not at all interested to destroy the green fields to pour cement. you can create cities with cment concrete, but you never ceate green fields, not sure why he destroyed the green lands.He tried to do real estate business.

Chandta bab promised in land pooling he said the farmers become crorepaties, thats why they given lands. CBN tempted and took lands and now CBN said formers given voluntarity for capital.
