One I recommend checking out is William Whipples Winter Wheat Whiskey. It's a colonial style whiskey based on the recipe favored by Founding Father William Whipple

Wheat whiskey is great. I have the A223, and I agree it is good. I also have the 7yr bernheim and it is a daily sippper imo. I love this channel because of the variety of whiskey I am introduced to. My collection is solid because of YDB recommendations amongst a couple other channel recommendations. Cheers

Awesome video, loved you getting deceived by the empty blacked out glen being empty 😂. I’m not a fan of the blacked out glens, I understand trying to go solely off of taste, but I enjoy seeing the color. Visibility is 1 of the 5 senses, use em all I say, but I know you can’t please everyone. Cheers DB
I totally agree as well. And in double blinds i dont use em, but single blinds, where I know what I am drinking, there is often a huge difference in color, so I dont want to give it away to myself.

Traverse City Barrel Proof Straight Wheat Whiskey is 95% Wheat and 5% Malted Barley. I haven’t had it yet but it’s the next bottle I’m getting. It’s a bit pricey though. Your video makes it easier to orient myself in the right direction of good wheat whiskey since I’m just starting that journey.
That one, I have had! I kind of forgot about it as I just had a sample, but it is actually really solid. I wonder if it would have won this flight!?

@TheBourbonJerk it is pretty small. I think possibly only in Texas at the moment. Only bottle I have had from them, but I will grab a couple other options in a month or so.

Topo, a defunct North Carolina distillery, has some wild, OLD wheat whiskey that was great for the price! It's no more, though!! Cool to see the "no name" distillery on top!

I don't even see the wheat whiskey on the Rio Brazos website do it must be pretty obscure. I'll be in Texas in a few months and maybe I can find it.
@Jodierob7 i got it at Specs. But I was in College Station where it is distilled.
