Redwood Empire Grizzly Beast batch 3 is insane. It's actually my favorite bottles that came out from a craft distillery in the past year. They stuff they are putting out with their own distillate is far superior to their stuff with MGP. JD Bonded is great. Smashes EHT small batch IMO. It's a complete whiskey.
Shocked to see with all the love y’all have given to Still Austin that none of their bottled in bond options made it. I love the high rye bourbon and Texas rye. Assuming they were either missed or not put on due to the increasing difficulty finding them? Overall great list though.
The batch #2 11 yr. Dickel BIB wins every tasting I put it in. Better than any of the 13yr batches, this bottle is amazing. Very little of the Dickel vitamin thing is present. Paid $44. 1792 store pick from NJ also does very well generally. And yes you are correct, the BT BM Bonded shows sneaky well in blinds. Keep up the vids boys!
My 3 rebuys are the 100 proof Old Grand-Dad and 100 proof Early Times. If I am a slightly bigger spender, the 90 proof Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey for $31 before taxes.
That’s what I was thinking, that they still released cask strength picks at the gift shop. I’d be very upset if they quit releasing SiB barrel proof picks altogether
I can't find Early TImes BIB anywhere dang it. Lol. I need to find a few sub $25 bottles to add to my collection for everyday drinkers. I am struggling with that.
I'd predict that Origin Series to actually be #1 or 2. I love it and wrecked the bottle I had. Sadly it's not distributed in my state and my neighboring state has been light on them. The other bottles I'd expect in the top 3... Grizzly Beast and Maybe Early Times (but that youth is obvious to me) or Wilderness Trail.
In my blinds EW has done fairly well. One time it neat WT 101 and in my mind better than ET BIB and Benchmark BIB not better than OF BIB or JD BIB but a better value. Only thing I’ve had that’s better and worth the extra money is Heaven Hill BIB and they didn’t put it on the list.
I’m a little behind the times, but when did Wilderness Trail stop doing single barrel bourbons? I got one through a local whiskey club that apparently I have to start nursing now. 😢
I like most Redwood empire the Burrye is my least favorite. Emerald giant is my favorite and the cast is just fantastic. Finding the bib from them is a task but I’m working on that. Big fan of Wilderness trail hopefully the sale doesn’t effect them too bad. Love the wheater from them. I like the coopers craft 100 it’s basically ET but from Brown Forman and same recipe of the original ET. And my area doesn’t get ET at all. Single malt is something I haven’t jumped into as far as American style. I do enjoy scotch just haven’t tried the American single malts yet. I prefer the 1783 over the bib just me. Dant doesn’t come in my area so can’t say. And JTS Brown only comes in plastic handles and I refuse to drink anything from a plastic bottle. Have not tried the Benchmark yet but will shortly. OGD is always a great bottle. 1792 is not something that comes around me either. I do like the small batch. OF 1897 is just a great bottle. Makenna just doesn’t show up around my area either so can’t say. And out of every bottle on this list the BARDSTOWN is my pick and favorite out of any of these. You missed Old Tub just saying.
I was just going to say Jim Beam bonded. I was also thinking about the JD Bonded Rye, but then realized this is a bourbon lineup. But I think the rye might be my favorite of that JD 700 ml bonded lineup.
I lke JW Dant better than JTS Brown, and Early Times even better! But I'm just not a Benchmark fan, and OGD doesn't do anything for me. EW is a standard on my shelf . . . haven't tried 1792 BiB not available in upstate NY) or Grizzly beast. Mckenna is the bomb, esp.when it was $35 several years ago (2017?). Finally - agree that all Chattanooga products are great. . . . lately I've been sipping the 111 proof and it's great.
Several times I have blinded Evan Williams Bottled In Bond with two, three, or four similarly-priced bottles and Evan Williams always comes in last or near to last. I've never liked Evan Williams as a standalone, either.

Cool, I need a restock before Bourbon in the Barn.
@1mocast421 well get it get it my friend. And use our promo 😆 🤣 😂
Wow shocked you didnt pick Heaven Hill 7 year Bib so good.
Yeah, especially seeing that they got three other Heaven Hill bottled in bond products in the lineup.
100%

My personal favorite bottled in bond is New Riff Straight Malted Rye

For the past 2 years in the Atlanta area, I couldn't find the 1792 BiB, but now it's on the shelf everywhere.
That and full proof both
Vegas too.
Redwood Empire Grizzly Beast, Ben Holladay BiB (not the soft red wheat), Heaven Hill, EH Taylor Small Batch, 1792, & Early Times.
Being from Iowa and sipping on Cedar Ridge Bonded now It for sure better than couple listed in this video. Cheers 🥃
Heaven Hill BiB is always on my shelf. Great taste.
The Bardstown bottled in is delicious!!
So good!

You guys are doing great videos. Keep up the good work
Thanks bud! Will do.
I wish the Very Old Barton's bonded had been brought back like it was once rumored to be.
I live in north Georgia and we also have been flooded with 1792 BiB and FP. Sadly, I prefer the SiB version..........
Been looking for 1792 bib but in upstate NY I have never ran into it in 2 years I’ve been looking for it.
Frank August doesn't have the BIB label, but it meets the criteria. It is a great pour.
I agree on that specific 1792 flavor. I just can’t anymore.
My 3 rebuys are the 100 proof Old Grand-Dad and 100 proof Early Times. If I am a slightly bigger spender, the 90 proof Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey for $31 before taxes.
Nice list! But ... Heaven Hill 7-year is my absolute favorite BiB!
Wilderness Trail is 1hr 30min from Louisville, just had to fact check ya there lol the family cask strength releases
have been pretty solid lately
That’s what I was thinking, that they still released cask strength picks at the gift shop. I’d be very upset if they quit releasing SiB barrel proof picks altogether
I just came across a George T. Stagg at a local small store for $799 and I’m so tempted. But that’s still so much for a bottle of bourbon.
I can't find Early TImes BIB anywhere dang it. Lol. I need to find a few sub $25 bottles to add to my collection for everyday drinkers. I am struggling with that.
Henry McKenna is everywhere in my area and is 75-80 bucks not worth that price.
I'd predict that Origin Series to actually be #1 or 2. I love it and wrecked the bottle I had. Sadly it's not distributed in my state and my neighboring state has been light on them.

1792 bib is sitting in NKY too
Costco in EVANSVILLE, IN had a whole pallet of Henry McKenna 10yr. on the endcap of the bourbon section.
This is a good news bad news deal
Going to send my wife over there to grab me a bottle but I bet she buys a ton of other crap while she’s in there
They have Heaven Hill bottled in bond for $39.69 today but are out of the McKenna
@larryowens675 Yeah, I'm here now looking for it. And I can't find it so like you said they must be out. Sorry leading you a stray.
What's the Costco price there?
@@xiamengbaby don't remember, but they already sold them all.
Evan Williams is a kid that has trouble taking tests :) It's one of my favorite budget bottles.
1792 BiB sits in and around Boston, and really, New England in general. That includes store picks. No argument it making the list.
Where's the Dickel?
The two that I would recommend adding would be Cooper's Craft BiB, and then the Heaven Hill 7 BiB. Good luck on the blind!
I never heard of a Coopers Craft bottled in bond. I have a 100 proof bottle, but it's not bonded.
@@xiamengbaby I was wrong, not BiB, just the 100 proof stuff.
Bardstown Origin BIB & Early Times BIB 🤘🏻
Sagamore BiB would probably do really well, just unfortunately not distributed everywhere
I am new to Bourbon, so I never saw McKenna at the cheaper prices. It's worth $70 to me.
Redwood bib is nice, but at the price (whenever i see it, $80) you should just get the cask strength
I need to try that bardstown BiB!
That mckenna bib is just to expensive in my area to justify, 70$ shelf price so closer to 80+ in wa.
I've never seen it less than $79 and won't pay that for a hit or miss bottle.
I remember used to be getting it for $28 at Costco, even low $30s at the regular liquor store. No way I'd pay $70 to $80 for it.
Guys, out of all those bottles.......which is the sweetest? I am curious about that! Please tell me. Thanks. Love your videos.
How about Ben Holladay BIB?
I’m a little behind the times, but when did Wilderness Trail stop doing single barrel bourbons? I got one through a local whiskey club that apparently I have to start nursing now. 😢
They stopped locally for us about a year or two ago.
Huh didn’t know that. They still release SiB picks at their gift shop tho right?
@@bryanmacke yes I believe so.
Just checked with Dr Pat and he said they’re def still doing barrel picks.
@bryanmacke I guess we are not seeing any of the bourbons here locally for a minute. Huge fan of them.
No high west rye bib?
I wanna try the bardstown oregon series never heard of b4 lol
Entertaining and informative as always gratsi
You must mean BARSH town Oregon 😆
No heaven hill 7 year BIB is crazy
Can anyone even get the black cap ET anymore? I rarely I ever see ET in general, when I do it’s the blue screw top.
No. These guys must be sitting on some old bottles. They should actually put the blue metal top version in the lineup since that's what is available.
I like most Redwood empire the Burrye is my least favorite. Emerald giant is my favorite and the cast is just fantastic. Finding the bib from them is a task but I’m working on that. I was just going to say Jim Beam bonded. I was also thinking about the JD Bonded Rye, but then realized this is a bourbon lineup. But I think the rye might be my favorite of that JD 700 ml bonded lineup.
That origin series BIB is one of my favorite bottles. Especially if you can get it under fifty.
Yeah that black label is something else. Amazing for the price
I lke JW Dant better than JTS Brown, and Early Times even better! But I'm just not a Benchmark fan, and OGD doesn't do anything for me. I really enjoy the Chattanooga 111 too.
I have some Benchmark Full Proof. I like it at first, but I find I get too much of a nail polish remover fume off of it.
I know you two are Dickel haters, but come on. I've enjoyed all of their BIBs. Give them a try again with an open mind 😊
