The show is sooo great! I love Iwan's character Joe so much. So lovely to hear him speak Welsh, it's such a fascinating language.

Welsh is so so interesting. Growing up in Africa, I'd always thought English was the only language of the British Isles but boy oh boy was I misinformed.

Welsh is the native Briton language its over 4000 years old and the English are Anglo saxon meaning they originally come from the Netherlands and Germany king Arthurs enemies

      It's not English, it's Welsh, that's why you don't understand 😅

@@Ell.06 Really? English is not my first language so I've always thought welsh is a dialect of English

@@mingluke12 Welsh is a whole different language from the Celtic language group instead of Germanic, which English is part of. But there is also Welsh English which is a dialect of English spoken in Wales.

@@mingluke12 Welsh is a completely different language. It's not even in the same language family as English. English is a West Germanic language. Welsh is a Brythonic Celtic language. Native Welsh speakers sound nothing like English:

      Sample 2: th-cam.com/video/DOHt8BZvUyY/w-d-xo.html
Welsh is related to other Celtic languages like Irish, Scottish Gaelic, Manx, Cornish and Breton.

@@mingluke12 you're hearing English words because of where he went to school, in South Wales (went to the same school) there's a lot more use of English words in the south compared to the north of wales
