Good video, Mr. Hawg. Many years ago I picked up a surplus 1939 Mauser k98 (also 8mm) at an LGS. It was in a wooden barrel with several others and you had your choice for $20. I cleaned it up but never shot the thing and ended up giving it away to a buddy of mine.
Wow! Ya shoulda kept that bad boy!! The prices on these are going up but then again everything is. I wish this M48 was in its original stock (obviously) but it is what it is
You can find used stocks if you want to restore it. Looks like it wasn't harmed other than being disassembled. Looks like Turkish surplus ammo based on the brass strippers. I have some but I've decided not to shoot it - just too hot.
Yes you can fairly easy. If you know what you’re doing. I wish I did lol With weather we only was around 200 Has the front sight adjustment and with practice shouldn’t be a problem at all 500 would prob be out of reach for me without an optic

It would be best put in a new stock for sure. Looks little odd in synthetic.
What model stock is that?
Good question! I’m not sure. Ill try to find out in the meantime, here is some wood options
