Really enjoyed the presentation. I wanted to visit Idaho when I lived briefly in Nevada. I definitely plan an outdoors outing soon. Beautiful country.. Thanks, North West :)
Such beautiful shots bro! I’ve been actually planning on heading up to those mountain lakes myself! Been trying to gather some lighter gear before I do so. Very excited to see it in person! Fantastic vid my friend 👍👍
try the Clark Fork cabinet mtns just to the east of there . great back country lakes, with less people. the 120 trail over the ridge from Bonners Ferry south to Clarks Fork is a great trail I helped repair and clear back in the early 70's. centennial trail.
Absolutely gorgeous scenery bud. Just love the look of the whole Hike. So many great scenes and I got to say once again.. RC Shangri-La .. lol The shots from your drone were awesome as well. I have to be honest you looked like one cold Camper the next morning lol... But like you said. Just another trip to remember.. :)
I've had the tent for like 5 years, not sure they make the model any more but it's ALPS mountaineering Helix 2 person. It was a budget tent at the time, I'm surprised it held up this long honestly, but I haven't had a reason to buy a new one yet lol. They have lighter options but they cost a lot more $$$$.
Thank you very much ! I actually don't own any ND filters lol, I know people say you can't film with out them but I'm typically very aware of the suns location ( film away from the sun), and adjust with my shutter speed.
@@NWoutdoorsadventures Yep totally get that and just understanding the basics is a must. Just picked up a drone and am debating. Keep up the great content! Maybe I'll see you out there sometime.
@@kevinclair8927 My 2 cents is if you are filming landscapes where nothing is moving other than the drone you can get away with no ND filters, but if you want (and it's not required) to capture motion blur of moving objects and keep it consistent with your other shots, then ND filters are a must. Again most of the time we use drones to capture far away shots and establishing wide angle shots so not really any motion blur to see. But if you use it closer to your subject, you may want to consider them.
@@TheFlyFishingFilmmaker Makes total sense. I got a Mini 2 and have only taken it out twice so far but I'm going to Alaska in 2 weeks (fishing the Kenai for Silvers) so just want to be prepared. Guessing it'll be overcast the whole time as well so that helps.
I always carry ether handgun or bear spray, or both in our neck of the woods due to the many predators we have. For woods protection I like a 10mm hand gun or bear spray. Spray would be a better fit for a lot of people I believe as hand gun safety and efficient deployment takes ALOT of training.
@@NWoutdoorsadventures do you think I am a underguned with some HOT .357 rounds? I usually carry that and a good fixed blade. I’m in Post Falls but I hike north of Sandpoint often
@@demo2952 you're in some grizzly country up there brother. Should be plenty though. Honestly moose and people scare me the most out there. I've never had a problem with big game predators, they usually want nothing to do with us.

Which lake was that? I would like to take some family up there this summer while they are visiting.
What time of year was this? I’m planning a September hike

Great stuff Steve, as usual. You using any ND filters on your drone?
