    As someone who love the Traditional things of Japan, it broke my heart when my fellow foreigners act up and made the Japanese close off areas of Kyoto. Ur a FREAKIN' GUEST in another country, act right!

      Yeah, sadly, some people just don't know how to behave. Gotta ruin the party for everyone else 🙅‍♂lol

    It’s just rude people. I wouldn’t give them the benefit of the doubt. They know it’s bad behavior but don’t care.

      Right. It always seemed to me that rude tourists/foreigners think and act like they're in some kinda zoo, not in another country.
      But then, people with common sense still behave even in zoos😡

    To be honest, alot of Japanese in Japan had tatamae and honne. It's depends how they look at your behavior. In my experience, when I went to Japan the only thing I always talk about is motorcycles to the young locals, and they smile at me, long story short, they begin to talk about the famous brand like kawasaki and honda. And also Japanese with honne like some elders for example, they don't engage in talking to foreigners.

      Yeah. Honne/Tatemae is a given in social Japan, but every culture has is it in varying degrees.

    Kabukicho and Roppongi are flooded with Chinese massage parlor ladies following you around and asking if you want a massage. I think a lot of foreigners believe that they are Japanese because they can't recognize the accent.

      True. If you're a westerner walking in the area alone at night, they're coming for you! $$$ Cha-ching 🤣

    There's a silver lining to those nuisance influencers, I have noticed other content creators being more mindful with what they do on camera because they're worried of being associated with the bad ones

    • @DJ5DucK
      @DJ5DucK 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Right. Don't get us wrong, we know there's a lot of great gaijin content creators/TH-camrs that talk about Japan and I enjoy watching them.
      Real talk, I'm pretty sure they're way more annoyed by those "social media influencers" than us since they're IN Japan😱

    Although traveling to Japan is trendy, we always have to be careful, especially women looking at their phones on the street.

    It's so gross seeing some of those horrid TH-camrs. I feel like I'm gonna be so self conscious to not be a problem when I finally visit. Maybe I'll be annoying for trying too hard to be unproblematic! 😂

    • @ArtCrumbs
      @ArtCrumbs 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh as a follow up, do you have any good gaijin stories? Maybe fun or good interactions you had with folks while you were over there?
      Also, did y'all ever attend the cons like comiket, comitia, etc? Would love to hear your thoughts on those.

    • @FelipeSmithYT
      @FelipeSmithYT 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Haha! You'll always be appreciated for being unproblematic! Trying hard and caring are 2 things that are always respected in JP 👌
