This album goes so unbelievably hard. Discovered them in 2019 (i was basically 13 😂). The Mountains Of Man and The Lantern are some of my fav songs of all time.
This album is amazing, and I wish that this band could have gotten their shit together and released more... Also, no details have been posted but their vocalist was also hit with some "serious criminal charges" about a year ago and everyone in the band, and the rest of the metal scene distanced themselves from him. Pretty messy stuff. Point being, enjoy the album, because the odds of ever getting anything else from this band are basically zero.
In terms of the concept of this album I’m still trying to figure it out with every listen, I do believe a lot of it is left up to interpretation However is very basic terms from what I’ve gathered it’s about a man who is tortured by visions and voices in his head that lead him to go on a pilgrimage in which he has to leave his partner and love behind, but on that journey he slowly loses his mind The song titles are like mini story arcs along the pilgrimage
I mean that’s a strong statement. No it isnt but then I really couldn’t tell you what is, to many to choose from personally. Don’t get me wrong this album is outstanding.
@@LeeGion_981 For me it is the perfect mix of heavy and soft with an excellent concept. Not to mention probably the greatest vocal performance ever. Just the variety of vocal styles and the sheer performance - so passionate and theatrical. Amazing 😍. I'm curious, what is your favourite album of all time? I love hearing new stuff

A lot of people swear by the original recording, but I like the atmosphere and depth in the remastered better

@@airsicklowlandr I’m a prog guy, I’m not sure I have one favourite. I like prog rock all the way to progressive death metal and everything inbetween.
