Love this video. Spotting the differences between Mexican Spanish and Argentinian Spanish was equally interesting. "ll" and "y" are spoken with a "sh" instead of a"ye". Also, it was the first time I've heard "anteojos". Entonces, ¿la ropa es "antecuerpos"? 🤣🤣🤣
I remember this was one of the first Dreaming Spanish videos I watched and it honestly seem so advanced to me back then. It’s crazy how much I can understand in just a few months! Also I’d love for these Where’s Wally type videos to become a series
@@adfgfdgs34bt4n I used Duolingo up to section 3, and used Spotify to find music I liked and studied the lyrics with Deepl and Anki. Nowadays I try to go fully purist (so only using Comprehensible Input) since I find no need for all the other stuff now. Also if you’re considering Duolingo, Wlingua’s a better option that wouldn’t waste so much time, just the free version seemed pretty good.
@@rishabh5750 I responded to the first comment awhile ago but it didn’t show up. I did try many apps at first but they were pretty useless imo. the one thing I did besides simple input was just listen to simple music (mostly for kids) I found catchy, and translate the lyrics using deepl. I’d listen to them so much eventually I’d understand them completely. I will say if you feel like you're struggling to make progress, if you keep on going with input you will get to your goal one day regardless of how you do it. Just try and watch things you understand and soon you're gonna be able to watch more entertaining things
Only in Buenos Aires. For example in San Juan - Argentina, the pronunciation is not "plaSHa" in San Juan it is "Playa", that is how it is written. In San Juan we do not use SH we use Y or LL. For example these phrases are pronounced like this: Yo vi que se cayo (in San Juan), Sho vi que se casho (in Buenos Aires) or also: Está Shoviendo (in Buenos Aires) Está lloviendo (in San Juan). Greetings from San Juan - Argentina!
@@mlatrellelove Unless I have misunderstood what you are saying, she has said playa and caballo as well. Being Argentine, she will say these words phonetically like "plasha" and "cabasho". So the words are the same as what you have been taught, just pronounced differently.

I love Augustina's videos! She is very expressive and speaks at a good pace. Her acting out the skier falling down had me cracking up! Very good teacher and a really good way to learn Spanish!

thank you so much, very fun video! any chance you could put the vocab word on screen when you put the pictures of the objects? some words i can't quite figure out what the sounds are supposed to be, it'd help a lot!
Yeah unfortunately I think that’s against the philosophy of Dreaming Spanish. But, you could try turning on the auto-generated subtitles. They’re not always accurate, but most of the time they are, especially if a word is repeated.
Hola. Te tengo una pregunta interesante. A mí me gusta el acento argentino, encuentro que es alegre, ¿pero convendrá enseñar el español con la modalidad característica que tienen solo los argentinos y uruguayos para conjugar los verbos? Te dejo como ejemplo esta parte de una canción muy conocida: "Andá, contame, decime todo lo que a vos te está pasando..." cuando lo correcto sería decir: Anda, cuéntame, dime todo lo que a ti te está pasando. Saludos desde Chile.

Brilliant idea to use Waldo books. I like how you use as much of the video as possible to present language.

Wow Argentinian Spanish is so different.
Claro. Wally esta en la plasha😮
I was wondering which dialect this was. For the words beach and horse, I was taught playa and caballo. It's interesting to hear another version!

Met Waldo in a Turkish prison years ago. He doesn't want me to find him now.
what
Being half dominicano it is interesting to hear a different of uses with the words
8:05 ¿Comó se llama el juego que el elefante esta jugando en español? En Ingles se llama "Tug of war"
Tira y afloja (pull and loosen) for the game.
tirón de guerra for a direct word for word translation of "tug of war"
Soy brasileño y quiero visitar Argentina, ¿en qué parte de Argentina vives?

I think I learned more from this video than all others. I am an English-speaking gringo from Utah. I want more Waldo
espanol de argentina es muy diferente pero pienso que es muy interesante
I feel that her "s" is similar to "ch" in english is that special for Argentinans?

Gracias por usando la nombre "Wally", ese es el nombre en británico y yo odio el nombre wally porque es un nombre del insulto un poco.
I think because I learned Brazilian Portuguese first, her accent is easier for me to understand compared to Espãna.
Imagine if she wasn’t speaking Spanish and was just spouting random words like an insane person
Well for a spanish native watching this she is😂
