My Egyptian husband took me to siwa in 2007. It is one of our favorite places in Egypt. Next time you will have to go to the mountain of the dead that is there in Siwa. My husband passed away just two weeks ago and I am in heavy mourning for him. He was my soul mate and I will never stop missing him 😢

A lot of folks reach out to me about Siwa with unrealistic expectations (both in what to expect there and in no realizing how far away it is from Cairo) because all they see are airbrushed Instagram posts, but your video really does Siwa justice. Hope you enjoyed your time at my beloved country Egypt.
Egypt has many wonderful places you can go with Cairo and Siwa.
If you like historical places and want to see third of world's monuments you should go to Luxor and Aswan, you will see templates and ancient monuments that you will never see in any other place, and if you want to enjoy beach and sea of course you should go to Sharm Elshiekh and Hurghada and take a diving tour where you will see spectacular coral reefs and colorful fish. And finally you should visit Alexandria, a living city like Cairo but with its amazing coastal vibes and enjoy our special food here at my city.
    Welcome to Egypt ♥️🇪🇬

Just made the unforgettable trip to Egypt last Nov. Beside all the troubles and the bad memory about Egyptians with scams, not honest and tricky, the scenes and landscape are all amazed. I have also experience the tortured trip to Siwa (about 9-10 hrs from Cairo) with all the very robusted highway among the night, stopped regularly by the army checkpoints with heavy armed soldiers. Had been swim in the salt lake (actually salt big holes), feeling the auto floating. The highlight of the tour to Siwa is the cruise trip with 4x4 SUV crossing the desert (which is three times harder and cooler than the desert cruise in Dubai), and camping in the middle of nowhere in the Sahara desert with the Beduin nomads. You have missed that one, Gareth! when u could sleep in the Nomad hut, and pissing to the desert under the full of star sky, in the cold weather. Unforgettable and amazing!!!

Hey Gareth - I love your videos of Egypt. I love your enthusiasm and appreciation for the people, the country, the food, and the nature. Awesome. I'm Egyptian-American and live in San Diego too. Let's get together. Hey, I have to add something important that you missed in SIWA!!! That amazing monolith in the center of town that you loved so much is THE BIRTHPLACE OF MONOTHEISM. Pretty frigging significant!!! It is the oracle and temple of AMUN RA. This was where the Pharaoh Akhnatun built the temple to AMUN RA. From an empirical standpoint, this is the FIRST known invention of MONOTHEISM in the history of the world. Akhnatun did not live long so his invention was lost for another 500 or so years until Monotheism popped up again in Iran with Zorastrian and Zoroastrianism. Furthermore, Anthony and Cleopatra hung out at this Temple. They prayed there and worshipped and then went to their favorite BATH in SIWA which was their love nest. I think you missed that too. It is awesome!!! There are amazing eco-lodges in SIWA that are completely built from SALT!!! I guess you need to return to SIWA! Thanks for the amazing videos and your great enthusiasm and adventure. I will keep watching. Cheers, Nile El Wardani

From what i’ve seen i think you will absolutely love dahab. It’s a simple quite town and it’s incredibly beautiful and the people are so kind. Been there twice and it’s such a beautiful breath of fresh air from cairo where i live. Also hurghada and sharm el sheikh are great but it will feel like you’re in europe because they’re filled with tourists and not actual citizens.

From the western sahara, relaxing in beautiful Siwa oasis you should jump to eastern sahara to Sinai where Saint Catherine and Jabal Mousa for a spiritual moments, you wouldn't regret it.
The quality of your shooting is great, editing is amazing, keep up the excellent work. 👍
Gareth, thank you for posting such videos, and you're always welcome in your second home Egypt! 🇪🇬💛🌱
