.. Richard was incredibly funny he’s got me in tears many times not too many comics can do that consistently through their whole set like he did…. He seems like a very humble man and modest and he owns up to his ways huh?…. I think if he really knew Jesus he would’ve found that love in Jesus …I’m grateful that I can laugh at his body of work just like you..
He was a sensitive person, and sensitive people are more prone to depression, which makes them more prone to substance abuse. I can tell he’s a good guy, and very introspective. He was taken from us far too soon. ❤️ You, Ritchie.
Highly intelligent man definitely one of the reasons all these beautiful women fell for.He talks sense, very original and an independent thinker.Proof comes from his eternal, relevant and most sensible comics.Greatest talent ever.Politically conscoius black man who knows exactly who he is,only few comes across at this level. He took full responsibility of his failures without shifting blames....Greatest man yet a defeated man and very sad💔.
Beautiful interview. It's great how he takes responsibility, but even better that he recognizes there is such a thing as "bad company". Love it that he acknowledged "There is a God". This is the Richard Pryor I want to remember. RIP Richard Pryor. 💕
Sometimes the greatest comedian have the saddest mentally issues I’m sure anyone who has met him ever learn something new that they never thought that they knew before Peace, one of the best comic there was Miss you my friend
Wow! Wow! Thank you so much for this video. This was such a serious and heartfelt interview, not just joking around. Mr. Pryor has and always will be at the top of my favorites. This interview just took my respect for him to a new level. His presence will always be with us. ❤RIP Mr. Pryor.
I don’t ever recall seeing this interview. Thank his for the late great Tony Brown. It’s absolutely the deepest I’ve ever seen Richard Pryor go into his own life and issues. He was a brilliant man with an kind heart and precious soul. I certainly hope more people watch this video. It takes the conversation about addiction exactly where it needs to go. Thanks for posting.
Pryor Was Real.. Most Honest comic to ever grace us.. Fuck the "my life is perfect, cause I work hard" Kevin Hart shit.. Pryor gave the ugly underbelly of fame.... This interview really showed a unique perspective to a tricky situation I'm currently in.. RIP Mooney too..
Listen from: 13:16 to 13:45. Richard talks about how crazy it is in holding onto victimhood” just for being black. God Bless Richard. He was 50 years ahead of his time.
The late , great King Pryor , always love this Brotha , for his mind , talent , creativity , the realest , most brutally honest artists ever ! There shall never be another !
Ive been seeing this channal mentioned in comments all over you tube Instagram and face book idk how you don't have a mil subs yet, you're preserving history.
And he would never be the same again after that incident. Never as funny, never as raw, never as soulful. Same thing happened to Chappelle following his breakdown. They both had their spirit broken. Murphy too to an extent, but under different circumstances.
Richard Franklin Lennox Thomas Pryor Sr. (Peoria, Illinois, 1 de diciembre de 1940-Encino, California, 10 de diciembre de 2005) fue un comediante, actor y crítico social estadounidense.
Jim Brown was head of Indigo and was fired because he turned down Purple Rain. The reason there wasn't enough Black people on the set. That movie would have put Indigo on the map and opened a lot of other opportunities
I remember watching his accident on the tv and the station that filmed it you could actually see the blue ethanol flame, now I’m much older I can’t fucking believe they watched and filmed and believe me it was lengthy cause he started on the sidewalk running then went into the road running but not screaming, it was so so tragic and he was what I can only describe as a zombie jogging in a waking coma and I was a teenager then and it absolutely has stayed with me to this day at 55, no one helping him was the absolute pinnacle of disgusting behaviour for a fellow human, it honestly changed me
So true about Drugs & the Isolation etc. "A day @ a Time" is what's working atm. So many preach about Sobriety then Relapse! Bless this Legend & surrendering to that life is so hard (permanently) as he says. Not sure how long he was sober for?
Amazing content 👍RIP God bless your family. This was very helpful to my life. Now I know I wasn't and aren't alone about love and drugs. God is my only way to become healed. In Jesus name 🙏😔
My dad is a great man, but he was not a good ‘let go and let them find out for themselves’ type dad when my sister and I were young. Cheech and Chong was forbidden in the house, Willie Nelson was a pot head loser. Richard Pryor was a flake and crap. A fool. Talentless junkie. Well, thankfully I was able to think for myself and found great joy in all the stuff my dad hated and demanded others hate as well.m in my early 20’s.
That's why you don't give TV interviews straight outta rehab! Jeez what a bring down Rich. I remember the fun Rich we were free basing coke with in Cleveland 3 months ago ! Said some guy watching this on tv.
Brother your moment hasn't come yet mine almost killed me I too set myself on fire accidentally and brother I was burned 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 60 percent of my body I was burned on my left side from head to toe man the tubs are truly a experience like that believe that pull dead skin off my God was with me as I say the father and son both were with me you might say I am crazy but the fifth horseman was there with me also I woke up three days later with only my wife of 20 years sitting with me now twenty years later she's still beside me my life completely changed that very day
Why would you ask if it's cleared up to the satisfaction of the public, instead of the satisfaction of yourself? He's only opening up to the question because they are coming from another black man...yet you are ignorant to the subject at hand..
Man this interview is really a deep one. Rest In Power to one of the Original Kings Of Comedy....The Late Great Richard Pryor! 👑

That’s right .. The original King 👑 of Comedy .. 💯🥊
I believe that he was speaking from his heart, and he put a lot of thought into what he was talking about... you can see it in his facial expressions.
He was a sensitive person, and sensitive people are more prone to depression, which makes them more prone to substance abuse. I can tell he’s a good guy, and very introspective. He was taken from us far too soon. ❤️ You, Ritchie.
Look at what he went through growing up and the times he was in ,he needed therapy and love
Everybody struggling with alcohol or drugs should hear this

Been gone since 2005, crazy. Loved his comment.
Wow! Thanks for the timely reminder of what we have to cherish courtesy of this wonderful and sadly missed man. Heroes!
An 'Epiphany' is no 'small thing'...thank you Richard Pryor, imho...this... is your finest hour. Sharing what you have learned....major kudos...
One of the most honest reflections. As robin williams said the best comedy comes from pain. This great man has lived with a world of pain.

I appreciated this interview, some thing that were said I could relate and others were simply enlightening. Rest in peace Richard.
Richard you are and will always be my favorite person 😊 Rest in peace partner. I love you. You are not were a natural talent....
Pryor is speaking the truth here on suffering and choosing to suffer.
Man with wisdom...
10:47 - 'primary objective is to make a movie that makes money...' - and then that sidelong look after. sharp as a knife, always! miss ya, rich...
He was always in pain…and that made him the GOAT 💎💎
Not long after the fire and shortly before the illness set in. Dude lived a full life, that's for sure.
This interview looked so quiet 🤫
The 🐐 ever in Comedy will never be a better one
Very good interview, 👍

This man joked about sleeping with other men but was serious even tho it was a joke
@@showmestatefinest5412 Eeeh, his bisexuality was not a joke, h admitted to it later in life.
What incident? The fire ?
That’s an interesting observation. I see it more as a matter of maturity. Nobody stays the same, especially artists. I get your point though.
Thankyou
"Watch the trees..."
This made me tear up... 2:55
I give thumbs up I can relate

Rich only created indigo to make JoJo dancer. That's it
And then a couple years after this he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis that was it
Shouldnt be afraid of a deep tan ,my dad was dark conplected😂🎉😊
Lesson to Pryor very carefully my people.
